See we work with Enterrpise customer across the globe. Tableau has been a helping tool in these ways
1. We are able to easily understand the customer API consumption and services, via graph and simple bar charts.
2. It is helpful for both pre sales and post sales team to understand the current oppertunity status and contract utilization
3. It also helps us to create dahsboard, without much of coding, which is cool.

1. The rendering of page takes time, UI response is really slow.
2. Performance slows down, understanding it has to work with lots of data.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps solve the challenge of making sense of large, scattered data. It brings everything into one place, let's you visualise trends instantly and support fast decision making.
I'm sharing my review/experience in using Tableau as a Business Analyst
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a salesforce consultant and I use reports and dashabords in Salesforce. The drwback we had in salesforce for dashabords was updating filters on dashboard directly which was very helpful and also the drag drop UI, and also the ability to connect to almost any data source. We connected to Salesforce and embeded the tableau dashbaord links in Salesforce environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only think is the admin part where we have the mapping and connection which is to be done on the backend instead of having this as config on the UI. Everytime there is an additional mapping needed, I had to reach out to a Tableau tech member to make those changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we had the reports and dashbaords build in salesforce and everytime we had to update any filters, we had to go to each report on the dashabord and manually update the filters. In tableu I see the filters are on thee UI and it is like a click to enable filters and also exporting the reporting, sorting all this is very user friendly on tableau and self explanatory. It made our reporting process faster, cleaner, and a lot more self-service oriented and our business users are making chnages on their own without relying on the admins.
Powerful Visual Analytics for Cost and Vulnerability Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Tableau’s powerful and intuitive filtering capabilities.
With multiple orgs, teams, and roles, it’s incredibly easy to drill down and view data that’s most relevant to your scope.
For example,
1. we can quickly identify AMIs older than lets say three months,
2. services performing below four 9s availability,
3. cloud components with high spend, or
4. containers running vulnerable Docker images, all with just a few filters.
And since these are something that you do quarter on quarter or year on year. These dashboards usage are very frequent and eliminate the cross team dependency .

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, Tableau works great, but when handling very large datasets, the visualizations can become slow to load.
The user interface also has room for improvement in terms of responsiveness and modern design

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps us bring together multiple data sources to monitor both cost and reliability metrics in one place. We use it to track SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs across services, identify areas where availability falls below targets, and analyze spend patterns across orgs, teams, and roles. It also helps us quickly spot older AMIs, high-spend cloud components, or containers with vulnerabilities, all of which supports better decision-making and cost optimization.
Turning Data into Visual Stories
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is user-friendly, featuring intuitive drag-and-drop tools that make building dashboards straightforward. The platform offers excellent visualizations, with a diverse selection of charts, maps, and storyboards that truly bring data to life. Real-time data analysis is a standout, as updates and changes are reflected instantly. Data connectivity is seamless, allowing integration with a variety of sources, from Excel files to cloud-based services. Additionally, there is strong community support, with active forums and plenty of resources available for learning and troubleshooting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be quite high, making it potentially costly for small businesses or individual users. There is also a steep learning curve, as mastering some of the more advanced features takes time and practice. When working with very large datasets, I have noticed that dashboards can experience performance issues and may lag. Additionally, certain chart types have limited customization options due to design constraints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau makes working with complex data much simpler for me. I can connect to various data sources and transform large datasets into clear, understandable visuals, all without needing advanced programming knowledge.
The ability to visualize data in real time has greatly improved my decision-making process. I can quickly identify opportunities, spot issues, and recognize trends, which helps me make more informed choices.
Tableau’s automation and drag-and-drop capabilities have also saved me a significant amount of time that I used to spend on manual reporting tasks.
When it comes to presenting and telling the story behind the data, the dashboards are incredibly helpful. They allow me to communicate insights clearly, even to those who may not have a technical background.
I also appreciate how Tableau encourages exploration. The interactive filters and visuals make it easy to intuitively explore the data, helping me discover insights that I might have missed with static reports.

A great application for Data Visualization.
What do you like best about the product?
What i like about tableau is its drag and drop interface which makes it great visualization tools for a non coder. Its flexibility on deployment setup options for desktop server, cloud is smooth and effortless. Its real time connection with data is mind blowing. Very ease in integration and customer support is robust.
What do you dislike about the product?
What i dislike about tableau is its higher per user cost, which can be bit overprised for small business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau help us working with big dataset with drag and drop options to create attractive easy to understand visuals and get us the real time feedback on the data.
Good for personal use
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to create a large variety of models easily
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the ability to sometimes go back in time. I think the application has some improvements to work on in terms of researching with live data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Researching past product performance, creating geographic data maps, easily merges data fields.
Great tool for reporting and visulaizations
What do you like best about the product?
The best I like about Tableau is it supports great number of connectors like databricks, salesforce, local files like excel , csv etc., It is really easy to get the tables joined, do the transformations directly on the datasets as well. The customer support is also really great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing I dislike about Tableau is the coding knowledge that is required to create calculated fields. A minimum coding knowledge is needed , but the visualization tools are really nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a data engineer, i work on great number of datasets and preparing reports and visualizations for the entire organization. Tableau makes the job really simple as half the dataset preparation , transformation and visualization is done on the tool itself.
