Tableau, the drag and drop interface

  • September 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Tableau is its ease and use and learn. Among all the topics I teach in my class, I find Tableau to be the fasterst one for the students to pick up, the one they are the most exited about and the most engaged with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the cost of the commercial versions can be intimidating. At work, we ended up using Superset for being free, although Superset is a lot more limited and bug prone. Had Tableau was cheaper, we would defenitely picked it as our dashboaring solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use Tableau Public to teach dashboard creation in my class and to learn from professionals in the field. Tableau Public is an excellent resource for people of all expertise levels.

"Tableau’s drag-and-drop interface and variety of visualizations make it easy to create powerful and interactive dashboards. The ability to connect to multiple data sources seamlessly and its strong community support are huge advantages."
What do you dislike about the product?
"Tableau can be resource-intensive, leading to slow performance with very large datasets. Additionally, some advanced features require technical expertise, which can pose a learning curve for new users."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps in consolidating data from various sources and transforming it into visual insights that are easy to understand. It allows for interactive dashboards that help identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, which improves decision-making. By simplifying data analysis and enabling predictive analytics, Tableau has helped streamline reporting processes, reduce manual work, and improve operational efficiency across departments.

Salesforce CRM Analytics is a valuable tool for businesses looking to make data-driven decisions. It offers a user-friendly interface, making it accessible to people of all technical backgrounds. With Salesforce CRM Analytics, you can gain deep insights into your sales data, identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Additionally, you can customize the analytics to your specific needs and seamlessly integrate it with Salesforce CRM.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it offers a user-friendly interface, mastering all the features and functionalities can take time and effort. For smaller businesses or those with less complex data needs, it might be overkill. Additionally, it can be expensive, especially for businesses with limited budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Salesforce CRM Analytics can really boost your analytics game. It brings all your customer data together, giving you a clearer picture of who they are and what they want. Tableau is an extremely strong and adaptable data visualization tool.

  • September 05, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The drag-and-drop interface of Tableau is user-friendly especially for individuals lacking extensive technical knowledge. Users only need to choose the fields and data points from their datasets to quickly generate charts, graphs, and dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau can be costly, particularly for startups. Even with its flexibility, the licensing model still adds costly, especially when you extend usage across teams or a complete company.Tableau is capable of handling huge datasets; but, depending on the structure and connectivity of the data, excessively large or complicated datasets may cause performance issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spreadsheets and massive, enterprise-level databases are just two examples of the many data sources that tableau may connect to and aggregate into a single dashboard. Working with varied data becomes simpler as a result, and complicated ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) procedures are avoided.Tableau makes it simple to retrieve, combine, and evaluate data from several sources in one location, which speeds up decision-making and cuts down on time spent manually compiling data.

The State-of-the-Art Data Visualization Tool and More

  • September 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the user interface the most. Tableau is easy to get started with just a few clicks. The ease of implementation is second to none. If there is anything you want in your visuals, chances are Tableau has it. I also like that Tableau matches the user's level of rigor. It can be as simple as visualizations from a spreadsheet to a full-blown SQL query from the database connection.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of the pricing. It is an expensive tool, which creates a barrier to entry and impedes many data enthusiasts. If only Tableau were more accessible, many would benefit and unleash their potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps me create visuals that I can use for reporting or to inform decisions, such as in group meeting or presentations.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best feature that we like about Tableau is the flexibility of creating dashboards with multiple data streams. The drag and drop interface makes it very easy to create dashboards. We have connected various data sources like Excel and other cloud applications. The community support is also very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though it can hanlde a resonable amount of data but it still gets jittery when it has to handle large data sets. The basic features are fairly easy to adapt but the advanced features are a bit tricky to grasp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to create interactive dashboards to visualize KPI's that are useful to our internal management and also to analytics team. Out manufacturing team uses to predict demand for various product supplies.
