What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is a brilliant product to delve deep into data and set up results in a visually appealing way, especially for those who are visual learners. You can create reports, detailed dashboards in a pretty easy and timely manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you're working with large amounts of data (I work for a company of 10k+ employees and handle the data), it can be a little on the slow side to collate. Getting your head around how Tableau works when you're new to it can be a little tricky too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to collate, analyse and sort data of all sorts in one space is brilliant. I feel the productivity of the business has improved as we can not easily pinpoint areas of improvement, areas of strength & areas to focus on relatively easily with Tableau.

Tableau review

What do you like best about the product?
f your company relies heavily on data analytics and database-driven decision-making as part of its strategic business development, then Tableau comes highly recommended.

Tableau offers a variety of useful features, including connections to almost all databases, the ability to create many different types of charts, data blending and extraction, and the ability to view dashboards on multiple devices.

Additionally, Tableau is very fast when filtering and drilling down from any dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
If data analytics is not a crucial component of your business strategy, Tableau may not be worth the investment due to its relatively high cost.
Additionally, while the interface is user-friendly, Tableau's advanced features may require technical expertise and a steep learning curve.
Furthermore, while Tableau does offer some customization options, it may not be as customizable as other data visualization tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Tableau to generated insights that has enabled us to curate relevant information in a more effective manner, allowing us to better understand the various factors impacting the business. For organizations, this can mean better decision-making capabilities that are rooted in data-driven insights.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any dislikes or downsides about Tableau. It fulfills my requirements and ideas and is as user-friendly as possible. But as its a public version, your works and design might not be secure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helped me recognize data ideally through tables, heat maps, pie charts, horizontal and stack bars, tree maps, histograms, etc. Also, you can save your work locally on your personal laptop or desktop.

Great BI Tool for Machine Learning Dashboards!

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Once machine learning models are hosted, and real-time data is fed periodically for consumption in business applications, it is sometimes very important to analyse the results of the machine learning model. If I can update a dashboard that gets input from both the survey data and also the results of the machine learning model based on the survey data, then I can get more precious insights that can help in better business decision-making. A dashboard that caters only to data visualisation without much modelling capability is not of much use in this respect. Tableau allows integration with machine learning models through its analytics extension API. This great feature can be significantly leveraged to add more values to real-time feed data from surveys, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau has excellent features that tremendously simplify complicated data visualisation tasks. However, it also makes learning simple things tough - steep learning curve!! Though it can be termed as the cost to be paid for a simple UI with rich features, there is still tremendous scope for making things very simple!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau allows integration with machine learning models. It allows writing python code that can manipulate the data so that the results of the machine learning model can be used along with test data and other live feed data for further analysis on a real-time basis through dashboards that can update the insights live. With Tableau server/cloud subscription, it also allows the live dashboards to be launched online with suitable administrative control at very granular level. These features add tremendous value to the machine learning models and live dashboards

It is widely used for its user-friendly interface, ability to connect to a variety of data sources, as well as its flexibility in handling large amounts of data. With Tableau, you can turn complex data into actionable insights, which makes it a valuable tool for businesses, data analysts, and information workers. Additionally, Tableau provides a wide range of customization options and can be easily integrated with other devices and systems, making it a versatile solution for data visualization needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost: Tableau can be expensive, especially for larger organizations requiring advanced features and capabilities.

Steep learning curve: While Tableau is designed to be user-friendly, some users may find the learning curve steep, especially those with limited experience with data visualization and analysis.

Limited mobile support: While Tableau provides mobile capabilities, some users may find that the mobile experience is limited compared to the desktop experience.

These limitations should not be seen as a definitive negative evaluation of Tableau, as its benefits often outweigh the drawbacks for many users. However, it's essential to carefully evaluate your organization's specific needs and requirements before choosing a data visualization tool to ensure that it meets your needs and provides the best value.
