What do you like best about the product?
The graphical option of making new surveys look interesting makes working with data more fun.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs much more improvement. The drill down is not elaborate and crunching of huge volumes of data is not fast enough

Needed a software that can give insight on our available data / documents / leads, this resolved it for us

if you are a small business and you need a perspective, location based leads, status of your logistics, then you need this.

It has made drag drop a way of life which is very interesting.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is still not elaborate to drill down on features. Need towork on it for the same.

Identifying business prospects, tracking shipping, managing different reports

If you need to explored unexplored horozons. Use tablue, the reporting feature will take you places. Its essential for a small business which is venturing into new business prospects and it also provides information geographically.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Tableau still has to iron out few small bugs that arise while normal operations.
- New updates that rollout sometimes mess with current version of dashboards.
- Once dashboard created in older versions is opened in newer versions do not work in older versions anymore.

- Tableau eliminates the need to write custom Javascript code to create visualization on the web.
- It can help understand insights in data that are not possible using normal analysis on data.
- it exceeds in its field when compared with other tools like excel and qlikview in providing indepth anaylsis functions that are ready to use.
- You can integrate big data, external maps, custom geocoding which is sometimes required but not easily implemented.

User friendly, easy to pick up
What do you like best about the product?
The interface was great and there was a wealth of resources available to get up to speed with using the system

Nothing really. Compared to the other programs we were using this was a God send.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were dealing with water management on large farms, this really helped us effectively visualize the data we were working with

It really does make data easily accessible to the layman. If you're dealing with hard nosed customers, this might be the best way to make data digestible.

Views are extremely adaptable with a few clicks of the mouse. Ability to upload thousands of data points and organize efficiently and optimally.

Relies on a connection to server, so upload speeds can be slow while system connects to server to 'feed in' the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualizing scores of data, presenting it graphically, geographic trends, demographic trends etc. with highly scalable views and user friendly desktop presentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn all the tricks - there are a lot of neat ones! Example: built in zip-code recognition for geographic presentation.

The downside of Tableau is it is expensive, so there are many other growing choices for other options from Microsoft or other small vendors.

I like that you can connect to any data source securely - whether on-premise or in the cloud.

I dislike how it exports rows, and rows of data in Excel.

Our company is trying to create and share curated data sources for our internal stakeholders. I've realized that this allows us to gain visibility into usage to optimize our analytics eco system.

What do you like best about the product?
This is a great data analysis tool. It has a range of different diagrams and charts to display data results and. It is easy to use and also very user friendly. I like the GUI.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that sometimes the data pulled have not been 100% on point. I am yet to work out the cause it this.
