Data made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive and easy to use, Tableau visualizations make data easy to understand and accessible for individuals throughout the organization. The interactive elements make it easy for users to ask questions and quickly identify trends. Plus, the Tableau community is fun and engaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is a bit prohibitive for our smallish nonprofit. We would love to have more users, but cost per person for online access is a bit high. Also, the salespeople can be somewhat pushy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit is having dashboard access throughout the organization. It's also great for people who aren't used to looking at data, and don't necessarily know what questions to ask. It's so intuitive that it allows leadership to answer their own questions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it- but try negotiating pricing!

What do you like best about the product?
As a developer, I like how simple the layout is. It is very intuitive to start using and view dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that it could use more customization from the user's perspective to do small ad hoc changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since I work in insurance, quotes are a big deal. Having a tool that provides visibility on that is a huge step from just trying to analyze spreadsheets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would really figure out the permissions aspect of it before just implementing it out there for the company to start using.
Tableau - The Visualization tool
What do you like best about the product?
Amazing visualizations of data in real time to get quick insights. Its really useful because of many build in features and drag drop features. Just load a source of data and it just prompts you various ways you can visualize data
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing much i dislike about this tool. I would appreciate more options to write SQL inside tableau which will be useful for data aggregation. For mathematical calculations too, I would say some more options will be helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amazing data visualizations are possible really quickly with tableau. It helps you quickly get insights on large datasets by quick drag and drop. Inbuilt maps help with geographic data visualization pretty quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definite tool if you have loads of data to visualize quickly. Accepts most of the data sources. If you have disparate data sources like a database and some in excel, its really helpful since you can join data inside tableau itself!

The administrative features are a little clumsy.

We are able to share visualizations with managers who can view and manipulate data for decision making.
A powerful analytic tool for data visualization
What do you like best about the product?
It represents analytic data in a way that anyone can understand the statistics easily. It is easy to use , easy to download, it connects to several data sources and it is eady to learn from its website. It provides many features to do data analysis like charts, graphs, maps, scatter plots. We can represent data in very interactive manner playing with its several features.

There is nothing to dislike. I am enjoying to work with this tool.

Sales analysis and it gives me data results in very appropriate manner which is easy to present as a report.

There are great integrations with CRMs (like Salesforce) and Marketing Automation tools (like Marketo) that enable us to obtain insightful reporting and analytics around our core products and solutions.

I feel like the visualization and dashboards could be more visually appealing and easy to access.

We are pulling data from different sources to create a single source of truth for marketing reporting needs.

You're going to want someone who has experience with business analytics to set this up so that you can create trusted reports that are valuable to the end users. It can be cumbersome to create detailed reports that can be dissected by multiple different fields of data.
My Tableau Server Review
What do you like best about the product?
It was a great alternative to posting to Tableau online or to have a bunch of user's sign up for Tableau Reader (especially if it was just to see one report).
What do you dislike about the product?
It had FAR less features than Desktop. I don't think I'd want to create my reports within Server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great area for non-technical people to access a single reporting environment posted by those who use Tableau Desktop.

1. Drag & Drop Facility. User-friendly and basic knowledge of Database is needed.

License is expensive. 3d Graphs should be implemented in this.

I am solving about how many sells we have done in a month, week, quarter and year. Pictorial representation helps in understanding the trend of sales.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I will suggest this tool for those people who want to analyze their data but don't want to put more efforts in writing query each time. In this, you only need a basic knowledge of joining table and know how the tables are linked to each other. You only need to write query in very rare case. And the tool is very fast in giving the analyses. The only thing is that you may forget how to write query after using this software. But your logic will be strong.
Quick and user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it is GUI based helps to learn and implement quickly. Also there are solutions on the net to the frequent problems that you may face.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that it takes a lot of time to load file more than 2GB.

The DOT reports and the visualizations. They can be quickly and easily compiled using Tableau
