Consolidate methods you use to audit

  • January 26, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Tableau is the fact that it has saved me hours each week! In the past, I configured reports from our banking software, put them into Excel, had to manipulate and consolidate all the data, then interpret the information and use it. Tableau took all those steps out! Now I open Tableau and see all information in front of me. That's it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few options that I would like Tableau to have. I would like to be able to put notes on the actual pages. Since I audit, I send emails and would like to record dates and findings on the actual Tableau page. So far, this isn't possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
See previous Q&A. Auditing is more streamlined.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of the dashboard and how I can quickly manipulate a report.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have many dislikes. It can be slow, but that is more the amount of data, rather than the program itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Tableau to pull reports on our fundraising and to see what has been added to the database. It's a quick simple reporting tool.

Beautiful Visualizations and Ez to make

  • January 26, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can make amazing visualizations on Tableau. Furthermore, most data formats are supported and you have incredibly flexibility on choosing how you want to convey data and insight.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its actually rather hard to find a clean and quick walkthrough of the software without purchasing it. I had to look pretty hard for something that was available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conveying bottom line for the data. Its rather limiting to use ggplot, Excel or matplotlib. With tableau, it enables to show a lot more features for any purpose
Recommendations to others considering the product:
check out the free trial. You can do amazing things with it but like everything new you need to get past the initial learning curve for it to be of much value.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is awesome – very user-friendly. Very easy to filter results and drill down.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's very much a GIGO sort of platform. If your data is dirty, forget about getting useful insights – and go clean up your data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're starting to really see where our sales have come from on a longitudinal basis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get your data straightened out first; don't expect Einstein to work miracles with bad data.
