Very helpful for generating graphs and presenting results
What do you like best about the product?
Helps a lot during presentation to display data in terms of graphs and visual forms

Need some understanding to use it and some people may not find it easy to work with

Creating country risk exposure matrix and producing reports for the same for presenting to higher management

Adding the datasource in the twbx (tableau worksheet) and sharing it across systems can be tedious sometimes

It should strengthen its data discovery capabilities.
Server performance needs to be enhanced to handle a large volume of data.
Its high version needs to be backward compatible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Tableau Desktop for creating dashboards for MIS reporting. These dashboards are being used by stakeholders and managers for their decisions process. We usually get requirements to update the dashboards as per their need so that it is easily understandable and conveys more information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are considering BI tool for data visualization then Tableau is software you should buy. You can even do forecasting using Tableau.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is easy to use and you can get started with pretty much any data set. The displays are modern and help communicate data in a digestible way versus displaying results in dated charts or graphs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau doesn’t work like Excel or other Microsoft software to create exportable easy to use graphics. It uses data to create within-software data dashboards and displays.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We provide data presentations to stakeholders using Tableau. It provides us with a new innovative way to share results of data analyses.

Creating reports is a bit difficult. Would like more training.

I like that there are a variety of ways to present the data. I don't like to be pigeon-holed in how I use software.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't necessarily "easy" to use because there are multiple ways to present the same data

In this day and age, there is so much data out there but it is so important to have it in a usable format, and Tableau is an advanced system to do it in a multitude of ways.

If other data visualization software doesn't have enough features. Try this one out.

Easy learning curve, nice, quick analytics. Able to integrate various data sources

No R integration for one thing. Also, can have issues access SQL compliant databases

If you are looking for a product that is easy to use and implement, then this is great for you.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can manipulate datasets, perform calculations and maintain a dashboard in tableau.
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes more time when lots of calculations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business uses tableau to see their daily inventory, daily work list that they have to work on, and their deadlines
Tableau is a great data analysis tool for analyzing your customer and implementation of scoring
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use to import multiple data sets and have Tableau immediately render statistics to help the user understand important observations. For instance, our company and our collection agency vendors use this program to analyze customer characteristics and allow us to score the receivable entries from low risk to high risk.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major cons; I use this and supplement this information with data from SAP Business Intelligence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to have even Supervisors and low-level users begin analyzing data sets through easy aggregation/visualizations that Tableau renders.
