Great reporting tool

great reporting tool with easy to build and configure

Tableau Desktop is a great way to visualize your data
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the product and the overall cost is low.
What do you dislike about the product?
To have full efficiency of the product you have to have an extra account "Tableau Online or Cloud" to share with others, and they have to purchase an account as well. In my industry "commercial real estate" it isn't a fun conversation to try and have a client purchase an account to view their own data in a different way. There are ways around this however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the time companies have their customer or patient data stored and maintained but are not using it to its full potential, this program can help you get to that full potential.

Talk to the support group, they will guide you in the right direction for you and your company specifically.

Easy to use and reports well. Very functional

Slow to pull live data but extracts are ok

What do you like best about the product?
Gives great sales data per store that I have, easily breaks down data into easy to tonread numbers for myself and my customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Server often cuts out and I have to re-log into my account several times throughout the day. Gets difficult when pr sending information to customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Presenting past and current sales data to customers, I can show how they are trending year to date vs year ago which helps them see what we need to do in store to pull numbers up or what we need to keep doing to keep numbers up.
Great tool for Visualizations
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to filter data easily and present visualizations to clients using the various featured. Some great features like action, tooltip and then obviously dashboards are fun.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to connect to data sources like google sheets or certain CRM applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating reports and visualizations for CRM analytics. Easy and faster design and GUI based thus really simple to use.

Use the community to make sure you are aware of the new features and get helped for any issues

This tool has changed the way we are able to visualize our data. It supports a lot of data sources and the built in filters and dashboards make it simple to present reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
You're not really able to build complex reports and sometimes updates are not compatible with your current dashboard and report, so they need to be built again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alleviates the need to build custom apps and code to create reports. Can easily create one and be used as a sales tool.

Best for those who are a novice to visualization. You can try the product for free and test out it's features.

Data aggregation is damn easy and the colour scheme is amazing

Not very flexible with filters, it's very complicated to create filters

Data visualization, it is very easy to learn and use tableau.saves a hell lot of time while doing basic analysis

What do you like best about the product?
It serves as a data visualization framework, it supports best practices w/o prior knowledge of data representation techniques. It really supports agile software development practice where the client is really not sure what they want but as times goes things get more clear, as development is super easy and intuitive it really becomes easy for developers to accommodate rapid changes and still deliver on tight deadlines

Data visualization, usage of Tableau Desktop in order to create data visualizations is like using a Data Visualization framework that out of the box without prior knowledge lets to imbibe best practices to create great data visualizations

Really worth giving this tool a try as this would really make agile development really easy, handling changing requirements is really easy as the software is really intuitive when it becomes to dashboard techniques

What do you like best about the product?
Our institution loves this product. It has so many wonderful features that help display data in the correct ways. It is also incredibly user friendly and a great way to be creative and innovative.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support pages, I feel, could be a least easier to use. Sometimes it can be overly difficult to find the answer to some simple question.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We aren't typically solving problems in new and innovative ways using this system, however, we are better displaying the data with the use of this system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it! Don't think otherwise. We love this product and are very excited to have this at our institution.

Easy to start, also can do complicated charts

Container is a little bit tricky and table calculation is difficult to understand
