Tableau desktop is a very quick tool to create great visualizations

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way it interacts with a user.Anyone can use it without training.It can connect to multiple sources of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to use with large database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can interpret trends, analysis in data ,simplifies the complex with visuals and give the best geotagging as well
Easy to use and customisable

Data can be easily filtered and organised into different sets, cohorts of users can be tracked and trends can be gathered.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't any features that seem to be missing or that I dislike at the moment

Looking at user behaviours, points of drop off in our service - making it easier to plan relevant actions and marketing campaigns

Very useful for looking at data trends and having all data accessible in one places

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use to generate tableau dashboards for various purposes of tracking which helps in solving various business problems. Love the drag and drop feature.You can also filter based on various parameters which is pretty cool and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
With lots of data, it becomes way too slow. They should use some advanced parallel processing algorithms to refine faster. It should also have multi choice and then filter functionality as opposed to choosing one and starting the filtering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use tableau server for tracking out of SLA bugs per manager / director / etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is one of the best data visualization tools and really very widely used nowadays. So if you haven't tried it, please do so!

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is a new software to me and my agency. It has been very helpful to visualize and conceptualize the plethora of data we collect in the healthcare field. It also helps to achieve transparency with our consumers and community members about the work we are doing and what the data shows.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times we encounter issues extracting our data from our MIS and getting it into the correct form to import into Tableau Server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are bringing data to the layperson and allowing it to be visualized in a coherent and easy to follow manner.

Tableau is easy to use and has many features so it’s possiblr to create new visual aids with what’s given.

Too many software updates! Every couple weeks there would be a software update. Hard to keep track of.

It is hard to pull in entire data from a very large data set.

Created dashboards and reports using Tableau analyzing requirements and providing insights to clients and business in banking and finance domain.
Great for sharing data
What do you like best about the product?
I can publish data to the server and my team can filter and customize the data for their particular needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not completely user friendly. If a report isn't published with the data selected, people need to click in just the right spot for crosstab download to be an option. It is also much slower than the desktop version at spitting out results. I don't know how much of this is due to internal technology issues rather than the server.
Would like to see more options for subscribing people. Subscribe to an entire workbook with custom views.

I don't have to run as many custom reports because people can be more self sufficient.

Excellent tool that keeps improving. Excels at making data accessible. People can subscribe to views and customize what they see.
The New Must Have Product
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau allows time of reporting that keeps users up to date with everything and anything they need to do their job, as well as keeping it user-friendly and clean.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some parts of using Tableau as a user rather than the administrator can be confusing, but as long as you know what you're looking for, it's pretty easy to get around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have not been able to rely on other systems and products in the past for financial reporting, and this has made it completely easy and useful.

Take any trainings available to help you understand Tableau and how to use it effectively and appropriately, and you will be able to use this to your advantage every single day.

Easy to learn, while lot of room to explore if you want to do something impressive; very flexible
What do you dislike about the product?
The blending is a pain, sometimes it won’t allow you to blend multiple data sources but sometimes it allows..pure luck thing
