What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about salesforce analytics is that we are a pretty serious salesforce shop. Salesforce analytics adds a deeper insight into our sales data against the dashboard that comes standard with salesforce
What do you dislike about the product?
I really do not dislike anything about it but I do think it's a little overkill. We have a BI tool in place as well and all that seems like it's a little much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving business problems around sales analytics at a granular level
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This may be overkill, price it out and see if you can bundle up for a discount. But regular salesforce with a lightweight BI tool does just about the same thing.

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce is helpful in linking the information on our administrative site with the Outreach program that we use. We are able to report on various trends, and generate success rates based on certain actions. I like that I can keep track of what my clients are doing :).
What do you dislike about the product?
The salesforce view is not very welcoming. It looks like it was designed for web developers who speak code. The platform is not very attractive or intuitive. It is extraordinarily frustrating that information from other programs can't sink onto the salesforce platform. When I try to save something on a client page for instance, I will frequently be prompted to refresh the page and re-input all of the information because there is information still pushing into salesforce from other platforms. How can this be changed?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting, information logging, and general tracking of consumer activity on the platform. Our website is linked to Salesforce, so we can essentially see everything that our clients are doing on the site. The Leading indicator function has allowed us to target clients that are taking specific actions on-site, increasing sales, and meaningful connections.

The report gets updated automatically with the recent feeds and we don't need to perform this manually.
It is a low cost software.
Also has good customer service.

Uploading CSV file or Excel file is easy, but connecting to a database is quite a task.
Workbook folder should be made available to share on the web
Upgrading the new version is quite hard, you will first have to uninstall the old and reinstall the new version of it.
Reporting features can be improved.
Tableau support team should be made available for the customers always, it's quite hard to reach them as you don't find their contact numbers easily.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau is a trending tool that is used across many organization. It helps us perform Data Visualization and has several fascinating dashboard options. Tableau desktop is a free software which makes many organizations adapt Tableau. I used Tableau in my department to merge data of students enrolled across all department. I also with my team conducted trend analysis and generated the reports using Tableau.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tableau Desktop is a perfect tool for visualization. Tableau is more user friendly with its easy UI. The reports can be saved in your computer. You can certainly consider this product for your organization.
Beautiful and quick
What do you like best about the product?
Easily display large amounts of data in easy to digest and beautiful formats. The product is only limited by your creativity and imagination. I have been using Tableau for about 2 years (in current role about 3 months) and am excited to develop dashboards for various departments to utilize
What do you dislike about the product?
Search feature on data is something you have to create yourself and there are multiple steps to doing it (no "Command + F" find function). Also sometimes not AS intuitive as it could be, but pretty close to being perfect. It's enough like Excel in the formula section that it can be an easy enough transition (if of course you are familiar enough with Excel formulas/comfortable with creating more complex formulas in Excel).

Easily visualizing large amounts of data in an easy to digest format, allowing us to identify trends and make the data actionable
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not always super intuitive so I would definitely recommend utilizing free online training materials such as YouTube or Google to learn best practices for Tableau Desktop.

I love how much you can store and how many features there are available for all our reporting needs.

It takes forever to load. It's very slow and painful waiting for everything to load.

Reporting and data, sales and spend tracking. Historical data to provide benchmarks for our clients.

I like that it is very simple to use. It is simple to find exactly what you are looking for and you do not need a vast knowledge of SF to understand it.

I wish it was easier to add fields and filters. It would be a lot more helpful if possible.

Can get a little tricky figuring out the hierarchy rules but overall not too bad

What do you like best about the product?
I like the convenience of real time sales stats and products sold being available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a small dislike but having to refresh to get current stats rather than the daschboard refreshing each time it loads.
