Like an earlier, less effective but cross-platform version of PowerBI
What do you like best about the product?
I liked that it is cross-platform (as I am a Linux user) and it didn't overwhelm me with too many features, making it relatively simple to use
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it doesn't have a fully free version, it's not open source and it felt like an outdated version of PowerBI and was less intuitive. Maybe it's because I was already used to PowerBI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It creates complicated dashboards, connects to various data sources (unlike PowerBI), and supports advanced customization.
Very nice
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about Tableau is its intuitive and interactive data visualization capabilities. It allows users to easily create insightful dashboards, analyze complex data, and make data-driven decisions efficiently. The drag-and-drop functionality makes it user-friendly, even for those without a technical background. Additionally, its seamless integration with various data sources enhances its usability across different industries
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Tableau is its pricing, which can be expensive for small businesses or individual users. Additionally, while the tool is powerful, it has a steep learning curve, especially for beginners. Some advanced features require SQL knowledge, and performance can slow down when handling very large datasets.

Best BI Tools for Business Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Myself , in my current role as controller for finance and IT at LMW Limited, feel that Tableau honestly is one of the best tools I’ve used for data visualization and analytics.
The way it lets you drag and drop elements to build interactive dashboards without writing complex SQL queries is a game changer for both technical and business users.
Although I have used Power BI , Altrix in Earlier companies, Tableau is Way easy and convenent for data visulation, Integration with Database, ERP.
Implemtaion and integration is Quite Smooth and We can ealiy link up larger database to get Dashboards for daily usage.
The interaction with Stakeholders for meeting at regular frequency is much smooter with Tablue wherein you can do real time data crunching, Tabluation and Graphical Display in click of second .
From a functional side, it helps me convert raw data into meaningful insights super fast. The dashboards are not just static but highly interactive, making it conveninet to explore data without needing deep coding skills.
Tableau integrates well with multiple data sources like Excel, databases, and cloud platforms, so I don’t have to worry much about compatibility. I have used in integration with Oracle 10, SAP HANA.
From a tech side, its performance is solid when working with structured data. Query execution and visualization speed is good as long as you optimize your datasets well. And the ability to use calculated fields and LOD expressions gives enough flexibility to perform advanced data analysis.
The only thing is, it does take some time to master if you want to get into deeper analytics, but once you get the hang of it, it’s totally worth it.
Overall, I Think that Tableau bridges the gap between business and technical users very well by making data analysis more accessible to everyone in the organization.

What do you dislike about the product?
Being a long time user of Tableau and decision maker in finalisaton and Selection of Tablue, I can say that it is great, but not perfect.
one of the things that frustrates me is its pricing —it’s quite expensive, especially for small businesses. If you need multiple users with full access, costs add up really quick.
The sharing options feel a bit limited compared to other BI tools like power BI, Alteryx that have more open collaboration.
From a technical side of it , performance can slow down when working with very large datasets. If the data source isn’t optimized, queries take longer to load and dashboards lag. Extracting data helps but that’s an extra step that not everyone wants to deal with.
Basic visualizations are easy, but when you get into LOD expressions, table calculations, or complex joins, it’s not as beginner-friendly.
Looking from overall stand point of view, Tableau is powerful but needs better cost flexibility, performance improvements and easier sharing options.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps me solve the biggest challenge I face with data while taking control of finance and IT function of LMW Limited i.e making sense of huge, complex data sets without spending hours coding.
I can easily visualize trends, track KPIs, and make data-driven decisions in minutes Instead of manually analyzing spreadsheets.
If i want to highlight Probelm Solving area, then, it will be
1. to identify trends, outliers, and patterns
2. Complex Data convesion in tables and Graph with Advanced Calculations.
3. Resolving Data Silos and Integration Issues by connecting seamlessly with multiple data sources like Excel,SQL,Cloud etc.

Tableau is valuable but not for every use
What do you like best about the product?
I like the customization tableau provides with visual customization as well as being able to handle larger datasets, especially when working in a manufacturing setting. While I have a technical background in software, co-workers of mine could still engage with it with minimal knowledge cause of it's friendly UI
What do you dislike about the product?
I've used PowerBI in the past and the price was a roadblock to use it at my company initially as well as it's limited microsoft integration. It's a great tool, but there's a higher cost and even a learning curve in terms of diving deeper into the application's functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily it's able to consolidate data from various sources and help paint a deeper picture as to what's going on. Generating views for different users to view data they need is also valuable as well. It helps put everything into one spot and then produce analytics for future predictions for order sizes as well as to give users a good view of the data without needing to dive deeper and deeper
Great and smooth experience

What do you dislike about the product?
the learning curve can be steep, especially for users without prior experience in data analytics. Some advanced features require scripting knowledge, and pricing can be high compared to other solutions. The mobile experience could also be improved for better usability on smaller screens.
