For better standing in Market
What do you like best about the product?
we had quite set of employees and vast customers with a large scale business with the best analytics report on daily basis which motivates to build ourselves for better sales .. That's where we stand and I stand for better living

I don't find much dislikes on the platform

Find out the users activities and analyze how we can still build our products for next level improvisation

Analytics been into a cloud platform , its been more safe and secure and help us to make an informed buying decision that you won’t regret..
Great visualization tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to take an ordinary spreadsheet and create dashboards and graphic illustrations of our alumni and prospect data. We are also able to combine data from multiple spreadsheets into one data set very easily and then pull variables into different graphs and charts that are easy to understand. We can track fundraising metrics and contact goals, combine data for the entire institution or look at individual performance goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau is not very intuitive and requires a good bit of exposure and training in order to fully utilize all of its great features. There are tutorials to assist in many of the projects that can be used to assist, but for those who are hands-on learners, it is more difficult to get the hang of
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to isolate our most productive regions in the US in terms of charitable giving which has allowed our fundraisers to prioritize their fundraising portfolios based on past performance. We have also been able to visually depict our alumni households throughout the US and create new alumni chapters based on where most of our graduates live and work

This is a great tool if you are looking for dashboard or reporting software that is more affordable than purchasing a full-blown CRM system with reporting functions built in. It allows you to see your data and make more informed strategic decisions about future plans, campaigns and initiatives
Power tool for viz dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau Server has the power to host the interactive, insightful dashboards created from Tableau Desktop. It is able to incorporate SAML or AD authentication for added security, as well as host separate sites with varied user permissions. The ability to easily add users from the TSM web interface has been a good improvement.
Tableau Server also has the ability to connect to a massive selection of items for a data source. The divisibility increases the types of dashboards that can be created from combining analytics from multiple sources into a single dashboard.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are still many commands that require command-line interaction, some of the search functions/filters seems to be less than intuitively-placed, and the dramatic increase in the cost of the OEM support is a certain dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau has been leveraged to create powerful analytics dashboards and real-time reports for campaign-levels, flights, spends, and so much more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are various options (on-premises versus cloud-hosted), so make sure to do your research on how much you can save by hosting your own. Be sure to take advantage of the Web Edit function on Tableau Server which can save you some money buy not having to purchase as many Tableau Desktop licenses to edit dashboards (you will still need some to create/connect data sources).

Its infinite ways to make visualizations and custom charts. Also, you can connect your data source from almost anywhere

It is a little intimidating initially but works wonders once you know the tricks and tips

What I like most is the fact that everything you need is basically in one place so you can compare right away the productivity from one employee to the next.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I disliked is the fact that it took a little bit of maneuvering to get to what I needed and the time that it took to complete analyzation of material from one employee to the next.

Tableau is an excellent visualization tool. The best on the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
New users cannot easily comprehend all the functions of Tableau. Sometimes it's confusing if you are exploring ways to visualize your data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Tableau Desktop for visualizing data. Great for presentation and report.

I would recommend Tableau Desktop to those who use and analyze data a lot.
