Critical for any analytically driven organization
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau not only allows analysts to build great visualizations, but also allows them to explore their data, find key insights, and answer critical business problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau has a steep learning curve between introduction to intermediate users. It takes using it on a consistent basis to achieve proficiency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau is my first stop to answering any data-related questions. It has unlocked value across my organization.

Don't let the price tag dissuade you. This is the premier analytics tool - no other software has the support, community, or functionality of Tableau.
Great BI tool, easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Connectivity into other data sources, availability of training materials, ease of use. Ability to quickly change type of visualizations with one click. Number of possible data sources that can be connected. New features are always being reviewed and added, and many are originated by requests from users. Support is very quick to respond and help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price, challenges with SAP, mobile tools only work with server product. It would be great to have a standalone mobile app without a server license. There really isn’t a lot that I dislike about it, other than when companies choose other tools over Tableau. Also, when people think it’s just a more robust form of spreadsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick analysis of data - easily find hot spots for opportunity or best practices. Interpreting large volumes of data simply and quickly. Telling stories visually with real data as opposed to relying on tribal knowledge or anecdotes. Turning massive spreadsheets into pictures that highlight where to focus.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take some of the free training to familiarize yourself. Be patient if migrating your audience from spreadsheets to visualizations as they may initially want to just replicate a spreadsheet look. If integrating with other software be sure to learn the types of connections and login access needed. Understand what problem you are trying to solve or what data you need to find clues to solving problems. Use the community and forums to ask questions and see how others are leveraging Tableau and sharing best practices.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Tableau organizes data for our clients. The one-sheeters always come out professional and easy to read. It is a great way to share and communicate data with clients and other employees.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many different aspects to Tableau that I have yet to learn. Sometimes I wish it was a little more user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau updates data in real time and provides an easy way to analyze big data. With the help of Tableau, I am able to create useful insights for our clients.

Make sure to complete all the training before utilizing this service.

What do you like best about the product?
Although I didn't like the sales meetings that it spawned, the analytics from this program were amazingly detailed to give us insight into what we actually did.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the fact that I didn't feel my data was personalized for me. It was just "a list" of sales instead of detailing my relationships at the bank.

We were solving how effective our conversations were while we were sitting with our clients

I recommend using this system but do yourself a favor, and make more detailed notes for yourself so you can help remember people instead of just seeing the clients as data
Great tool for data visualization
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive tool in which you can create data visualization dashboards that are easily accessible by colleagues. Extremely reliable too that works great with Google Ads and has other software integration options as well

The loading time for some of my projects can be quite long, which is a little frustrating but given how big some of my data sets are it is just something I have to deal with

We used it with a lot of information, sometimes the dashboards ran very slow

The ability to make dashboards quickly and sharing them.

Sometimes the visualizations are very rigid. They would be more fluid with some type of R integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved issues related to inventory management, sales, and distribution. The dashboards allow leadership to quickly make decisions based on data.

Tableau changed the way we organize and share our data, and saved my life during a very important season. It is easy to use and allows you to organize and share data in a user friendly format.

Overall I'm very happy with tableau and would not recommend any changes at this time.

During a sudden influx of new clients and products Tableau made the organization and dissemination of information into a streamlined and effortless process.

Tableau is very easy to use and user friendly, even if you are not super tech savvy. There are different versions, one for people to just read the data and the actual version to create dashboards and other reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ramp up time does take a bit to get thing setup, but once that is done, it is very easy to use and manipulate

we use this for dashboards for multiple uses, which otherwise would be cumbersome to customize, and allows non tech people to read information quickly and easily.
