Great Visuals but Tough to Use
What do you like best about the product?
It helps you see and understand large amounts of data. The dashboards are very visual and beat any other product I've used (i.e. Excel, etc.).
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to integrate with APIs and can take a long time to diagnose data issues. It's not SUPER intuitive and I like the drag & drop features, but these can be difficult to put together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business uses Tableau to generate insights on our customer data. It allows us to put together dashboards and reports that fit not only our needs but our advertisers and publishers as well. It's a crucial aspect of our business to be able to act on large amounts of data.
Tableau is a valuable resource

Tableau can consolidate and aid in reporting more accurately than any other program
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can think of is the cost of Tableau is a bit pricey.

One of the best BI tools on the market today for Sale Managers
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to pull large data sets from multiple sources and cross analyze with its powerful processing engine into 1 visualization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires a good amount of training which can be a barrier to deployment and adoption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool allows us to effective communicate between Sales Ops, Sales, and Finance using a consistent platform. This was a barrier before using this tool as we have multiple data sources that often had different reporting features, which caused gaps in communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Alignment with your cross functional teams in terms of a desired use case of the tool. Having this agreement set up front will help with on boarding and training services.
Media Data
What do you like best about the product?
user-friendly, robust capabilities for Political needs; we need the ability to overlay a TV DMA on a particular Congressional District.
What do you dislike about the product?
at the moment, there isn't anything that we dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to see how we perform in specific regions, relative to our media footprint for TV and its relationship to Political Advertising
Average User of Tableau Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can easily pull data that has built in graphs to share with business partners. It makes sharing statistics much easier and faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Tableau has to get information from Lighthouse and Lighthouse pulls information from IEX, there are gaps in the communication channel between these three systems and a lot of stats become inaccurate and unable to be utilized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've tried to use this when presenting staffing gaps as well as call statistics, unfortunately, the data housed within Tableau is inaccurate and I'm not able to use it.
Tableau is an analysts best friend

Efficient but needs work
What do you like best about the product?
It was extremely easy to use and figure out. Plus allowing the results to be exported into excel was great for sharing results with clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
There always seemed to be lags and bugs. it was hard to use Tableau with other documents open at the same time.

Tableau Client Review
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Set up by pricing and planning to team for yearly budget and impression allocations to specific products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search option is a little wonky. You can search, but are unable to select unless unselecting all options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simply used for pricing.
Tableau Software
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it allows you to tell a story about the data. It organizes it into an easy way to digest it and take insights. I work with a alot of data dumps and this is a must.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find is that it's not intuitive nor are the products sold to consumers done properly for the company. I've actually intervewed to be a sales manager there (didn't get the job) but had to present the product at the interview so I know what it can actually do and its crazy that it doesn't with the two companies ive used it at. Especially RMN - it would always break and the product is terrible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data dumps!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure its implemented correctly as the product is great but if not used fully it's more of a mess and not used to its value.
