What do you like best about the product?
It is a very nice and functional platform. There are a ton of different options you can use for graphics and tables. It can be utilized to tabulate a lot of differing information for a clearer picture, as well as make a lot of graphics to share.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not fast, that is proabably its biggest downfall. It seems like it takes forever to load, and then takes forever to make any selections. In addition to that, it likes to default to the starting point, instead of being able to unclick certain areas and reclick to re-view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for a lot of different items: Satisfaction, production, views for new sales/confirms, meetings had, comparison.

Sometimes, it can take awhile to access information.

Integrate with Salesforce and dashboards are modern and easy to read at a glance.

This product is in its infancy. Very little pre-constructed dashboards to utilize. Most of the analytics have to be built.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding vertical use of products and services. Year-over-year revenue generation to support go-forward sales and marketing strategy.

Requires a heavy time investment.

This is very useful for tracking our progress, account health, and company goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
It only updates every 24 hours and is typically 1-2 days behind. This is fine, except it's also often wrong and requires a lot of leg work to ensure it's accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Tableau to track our activity on contacts. The biggest benefit is having a unified space to measure activity history.
Share Data and Vizualizations with Ease
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau Server is intuitive, customizable and secure. I love that users can alter a view and save as their default so it opens to the most relevant information. Dashboards are easy to share with no need to download additional software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting the permissions appropriately so dashboards can be shared with select groups can sometimes get complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Tableau to make my report more efficient, automated, and tell the story in a clean, organized way. Reports that previous existed in Excel that were slow to open, difficult to update and hard to look at are now a joy to review.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tableau Server can enable you to share dashboards via the Mobile App, but keep in mind that this will require additional security measures

We're effectively monitoring sales activity. We can see what is in the pipeline, how much more is needed in the pipeline to achieve our goals, what areas we're lagging in, et.

sometimes not all of the fields are customize-able. there are certain fields I would like to drill / sort but it doesn't hinder the functionality of the software, but rather the report i am working on.

benefits are reports are customize able and i can automate the data sending reports to me
