Sometimes it limits few things when I replicate things from excel

It's a great visualization tool. It helps see trends and analysis and data connections at your finger tips

It's hard to export to excel. Some things can be challenging and if there is too much data.

I am a fairly new user of Tableau. What I like most is the visual elements and design presented in Tableau. easy to read and chew for the audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Tableau Desktop had better data processing and more complex calculation built in, e.g. calculating rolling average, without having a workaround.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translating raw data into visuals that our leadership can comprehend and take business actions quicker.
Though powerful, lacks functionality

It is easy learn but it lack functionality when it comes to presenting the data in new and cleaner ways
What do you dislike about the product?
There's difficulty with clients who don't have access to server functions and there are limitations when putting multiple metrics in a chart
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There's an issue reading flat files when the metrics are pulled in as strings no matter how many times you try and set their quality in the data. I do like that they pull the data together for you which solves not knowing SQL
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would really work through the instruction manuals and all of the tutorials online. The software is large and can be confusing without it.

The best feature is that it integrates with Excel or other databases quickly. Also, the drag and drop functionality is intuitive.

It takes a lot of time to process big data

I love tableau because of its unlimited functions. I have tried other tools in the past such as PowerBI and OneModel. Tableau is one of the most versatile.

None, I cannot think of anything that is not good.

Tableau is amazing because it is so easy to transition from an Excel spreadsheet. I can do so much more with tableau and at a much faster pace.

I appreciate the fact SFDC allows sales personnel to manage their client interactions.

New interfaces such as Lightning seem slower than previous releases.

Awesome tool for visualisation
What do you like best about the product?
It has all the common charts and graphs required for analysis plus you can either upload a local data or connect to server to import tables making it very convenient and easy to use. I also love the feature to create dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a heavy tool and requires a good amount of time to gain expertise on plus it would be really helpful to have additional features like forecasting.

I use tableau to visualise data and derive insights to provide recommendations. The main benefit is being able to easily convey trends and patterns
