What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, collaborative, modern looking

Aggregated calculations could take a long time to run. Some small formating features missing

What do you like best about the product?
So many different kinds of plots like barcharts, pie charts, histograms, scatter plot, etc can be produced. It has visualization for every kind of data like time series, geographical locations. Quick analysis can be made and converted into a story which can be easily shared with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much to dislike, but it cannot handle very large dataset
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very easy learning tool which everyone can understand. I have shared plots and analysis with my team members. It takes minimum time to produce plots and do the analysis. I have connected it from various data sources
Amazing Data Visualization
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy to use it is and how great the data visualization tools are. Also online sharing and hosting.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really are no cons to this, it does everything I need it to and more.

Collecting and visualizing large data sets. Finding company wide trends.

Tableau for Intelligence
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to slice and manipulate data in ways that allow decisions makers to succeed. There are many business intelligence tools out there and from top-notch vendors such as Microsoft. Tableau is one that I have found both easy to use, as well as offering a variety of ways to manipulate and extract information from large amounts of data. If you're looking to impress managers, make key decisions, or extract strategic takeaways then Tableau is extremely helpful. It has also helped me develop new KPI's (key performance indicators) that provide valuable insight into the business. It has both impressed managers and allowed for weekly updates with new and updated data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve - finding what you need and linking to external files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developing KPI's, charts and tables that aid in decision making and strategic direction. You will notice that there are ways to manipulate and display data that will provide managers to make key decisions. I'd recommend anyone just download the trial and give it a shot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
At least give it a try. Compare it to you other BI tools.

Provides insight to company data usage, as well as insights to give clients

Syncing with our Salesforce accounts can lag

Being able to provide better insights for clients

What do you like best about the product?
Easily link numbers to charts, good database connection. Good visualization especially when complex datasets are crossed, giving the appearance of a professional presentation

Could be a bit more self explanatory depending on how data is crossed. should include a bit more error messages since sometimes you'd only see that the crossing is wrong ages after the data is all organized.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
KPI's should be a bit clearer. I still struggle crossing a fes of the datapoints as the buckets signed for each variable can be a bit confusing depending on the amount of data that is crossed.
Some bugs, but in theory, a great product!
What do you like best about the product?
salesforce analytics often times does not pull all the information that we are after. Especially since we are using it as a connection to magento.
What do you dislike about the product?
With it not always bringing all the sales data from the magento, you wonder what is not all in there. We just assume that what does not transfer is a small enough amount that it does not affect the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it has given us the ability to view what is being sold, etc. We can now make strategic decisions with this information. Some benefits that I have realized as well have been making my own job easier, as I am the point person for data visualization for our company. Sometimes I wish it was a more reliable source, but it certainly gives me great information
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you are not really good with salesforce, I would consider hiring someone to set it all up for you. there is a bit of a learning curve...

The dynamic nature of the visualizations. The parameters and pages especially are my favorites

I create lot of maps of Massachusetts and ic graphs like trends with reference lines, bubble graphs, infographics with help of adobe cc
Great potential - difficult to get there
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau can handle large amounts of data, which is very helpful in analytics. It can also be personalized to make charts, graphs, analysis of specific requests - so it essentially becomes a personalized dashboard for your business.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to revise existing worksheets, instead having to replicate them as new versions. It also has some delays in updating data, meaning the hard work put into designing the sheets won't pay off if the data is outdated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving problems of inventory tracking, predicting sales and consumer trends. It has been helpful in predicting user behavior based on past actions and purchases.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have someone skilled in data management and analysis, this product would be great for you. Just make sure you are willing to commit the time building the sheets and maintaining data - so your results are up to date.
