What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can take data from excel and turn it into different charts, manipulate the data easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the data you move over has certain restrictions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ways to present the data in a cleaner way. Also whenever the data changes it will update itself.
Tableau is great for what we need but not necessarily for the average user
What do you like best about the product?
We are able to track different metrics for our organization like active headcount, terminations, absenteeism and turnover, return to work and RTR of all of our different manufacturing plants with this system which is really neat.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that I am only able to see what my organization sets my system up to see. I wish we could dive further into other data that we might find interesting but I am somewhat limited with my access privileges.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to track important metrics like RTR, turnover and absenteeism so this is solving a lot of our problems. We have realized that a lot of the ways we were tracking those items previously were not working and this is by far the best way for us to track and review data.

It is a wonderful platform where you can do better decisions by using this

Lisence issue only, team will respond whencever there is a problem
Powerful visualization tool, but requires dedication to get the output desired
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is a powerful and quick way to analyze and visualize data. The tool is flexible and allows for a great way to look at data on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have two major challenges with the product. First, supporting the server updates/patches and security are very cumbersome. We have had several failed upgrade attempts that burned a large amount of engineering resources. Second, while you can generate great analysis it take a large amount of time to get the exact look you want to viz's. Simple things like increasing fonts/formats can take painstaking changes. All in all, it also does not seem to be a format executives like to consume for us at this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to make it the single reporting repository for reports and dashboards for Sales data. With the current challenges, I am not sure if we will be able to achieve this objective.

What do you like best about the product?
Quite user friendly interface with options to use multiple worksheets to create a dashboard and multiple dashboards to create a story.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a while to refresh. It takes a lot of effort in data manipulation to match queries. Creating dashboards to show the right kind of visuals at times involve creating multiple worksheets which can be tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It loads quite fast. I have solved the issues of moving visuals from Google Sheets to Tableau for my client successfully and the results were brilliant.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Though the interface can be a bit boring at times, please don't allow that to undermine the potential of Tableau. This tool offers excellent visuals. Try using the Map feature which is fantastic to use.

It takes a lot of space on your computer and a long time to downlaod!

Easily able to manipulate data. We are mainly using it to express data in a clear and concise manner. Benefits include: user-friendly, colorful charts, easy access, great intergration!

Great way to display data in charts. Good for clients or power point presentations!
Best platform for the Analytics and Reports
What do you like best about the product?
I like the platform to generate the reports. Most user friendly platform compared to other tools. Most revenue generated source in the Marketing channels. We can configure this tool with Email platform, SEO Platform, and Ad words platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
All good! I don't see any issues with this tool.

We have configured most updated reports in this tool.

Charts/Graphs/Heat Maps etc. and numerous options provided are helpful to create different form of data visualizations.
Unique features like filter sub-options identified from data to eliminate unwanted data is very useful.
Running animation can be prepared without any hassle on large datasets.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preparing Dashboards, Running Animations, Donuts charts, Bar charts, etc for Data analysis which give us powerful insights by Data visualization tool Tableau Desktop. Which are used to present in meetings and help to take critical decisions based on data analytics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Tableau 10/10 to beginner in Data Visualization as it is much more easy to use and modify detailed values of data provided.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of transforming large volumes of data into simple and easy to understand visualizations. I'm able to analyze a ton of data within a few minutes very quickly. I love that you can publish your visualizations online so that anyone can view the vizzes that my team or I have built. You can also restrict online publishing so that the appropriate audience has access to the underlying data. Tableau can take any volume of data from multiple data sources and combine it into meaningful data that would take hours to compile otherwise.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a very steep ramp-up to use the product if you've never used it before. If I didn't work at Tableau as an employee for a period of time, I'm not sure I would have ever used or picked up the product. Outside of product functionality, Tableau Desktop is extremely expensive for individual/personal users outside of work. If your company is not willing to sponsor a Tableau License, it's difficult to justify the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing and understanding my data. I use it in my personal life, for budgeting as an example, and in my professional life as a CPA/Accounting professional. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't use Tableau Desktop. I've been able to produce slide decks and executive summaries to my executive team very quickly by using Tableau Desktop. I've also benefited from the product through many data migration projects during system implementations or conversion to a new system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have your organization, team, or yourself, invest the time in training right out of the gate. Adoption of the product is critical given the cost, and the only way to get the value out of it is to participate in formal training. There are many online options as well, so it can be on your own time.
I also recommend getting a variety of licenses as not everyone will need the ability to create visualizations, some people may benefit more from just an interactor license so they can interact with vizzes posted by other people.
