What do you like best about the product?
There are lots of dashboard and reporting options for team and individual needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Salesforce can be very clunky and too tech-driven behind the scenes that cause end users to not have a great experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are building out multiple sales dashboard, reports, and results to share externally and internally.
Tableau Desktop provides a quick & efficient way to visualize your data
What do you like best about the product?
The best features of Tableau are the ability to create dynamic, engaging data visualizations. The software itself is easy to use and end users can easily understand the data better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connection ability to other data/software can be limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization needed a way to visualize our survey data in a way that shows trends and can help discover inequalities or areas of interest. For this purpose, tableau has served as a useful tool. The ability to conceptualize large data sets has been invaluable, particularly when it comes to mapping data.

I like the drag and drop features to quickly generate your own analytic dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the UI can be tailored to be more user friendly. I believe it's currently tailored to be more industry professional-centric
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to avoid using SQL to extract data and quickly create my own dashboards
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tableau seems daunting at first, but using the extensive training documentation, you quickly pick up the basics, and you can start visualizing and analyzing your critical business data. Strongly recommended, no matter the size of your company or industry type

ability to finally manipulate data across data sets and platforms

as usual with Salesforce, the training and support resources are the WORST. if you want to go back to school full time then you will get the full capabilities, or you can double your budget and hire the experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
education on how to use the tool is the greatest problem. once we get reports they are very helpful, but it is a painful journey since we are new to the platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
make sure you have staff that can learn or is already trained ... this is not for a beginner

We are monitoring cases opened and assigned to each user with respect to the user . All with real time data

What do you like best about the product?
I like the intuitive nature of the reporting and dashboard capabilities. I was able to self teach everything that I know and can create robust reporting using out of the box capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the system can run quite slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using the system to provide business line of sight to all performance in sales force at all levels.

Evaluate all types of reporting and data points needed prior to implementation.
Salesforce just gets worse
What do you like best about the product?
I like that SFDC is consistent in the experience and ability to track and run a business. They are very stable, have a good methodology for internal sales management and know how to handle communication for updates, down-time and scheduling.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that SFDC wants to be too many things at once. They constantly increase their pricing and they manipulate you because your tied to their platform. They charge a fortune for code in the system and then you have to get a SI partner to build a lot of what you need. Their costs get worse and worse every year. Unless you have a HUGE negotiation position they don't care to work with you. They are greedy and have a sales team that feels they can get away with whatever they want. Being charged for code lines and linking out to other systems is starting to get out of hand.
I also feel that the knowledge of industry from the sales team has become very disappointing. They used to have people that understood an industry. Now they just care about the uptick or selling anything additional.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been trying to properly benchmark valuable time, time spent on the correct deals and how we advance or lose traction on deals. But we have not seen this be anything helpful in SFDC as it is just reports based on fields in SFDC. We have to spent immense amounts of time creating fields for everything and then the reports.
Best Analytical Server
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility to manage users, ease of publishing dashboard and maintaining them live
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs special training, otherwise you will mess up so many things
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have Tableau server from last 2 years, we are trying to publish revenue, profit loss and other general matrix on server and then push them to employee portal so staff has good idea about company growth.

Very Good easy to use and provides very good support

The best feature is you can take actions on your data from EA dashboard. Makes it very easy to gain trust on numbers.

Issues with multi select picklist and some limitations in ETL tool

Helping customers to automate reporting needs. Enabling users to get answers to ad hoc request

Aligning Daily Activity with Your Most Engaged Customers
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau allows you to see which customers/potential customers are looking into your solution. It gives you the companies that are engaging the most, the actual roles and departments that are looking into your emails and marketing material and what type of asset is getting the most attention/reaction.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the information that it gave you was more detailed, ie the time they opened the email or downloaded the asset and if there were multiple departments or co-workers that are looking at the same assets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am reaching out to those people that are engaging with our company the most. It is super important because you are bridging the divide when you call them. They know who you are because they were just looking at an asset/email from your company. It makes a cold call NOT so COLD.
