What do you like best about the product?
Tableu is robust. I appreciate all the many layers of data representation that can be expressed. Fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it
What do you dislike about the product?
For me, getting proficient took a bit longer than I'd like. Perhaps a reflection on me but I'd like a simpler path to get up to speed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data lineage project for a bank. For managing reporting, very useful displays and the data was easy to access and analyse
System is functional - with a few glitches

Doing business rollups and analyzing data is fairly self explanatory
What do you dislike about the product?
Loading data after filtering or selecting new metrics sometimes takes a long time. It is inconvenient - especially when recapping sales on Monday

Solving running multiple ad hoc reports

What do you like best about the product?
You can quickly filter and granulate your data so if you are dealing with large amount of data and trying to generate insights you can do so in Tableau

It would be better to have option for having multiple pie charts in one worksheet without requiring a dashboard

Your management will like the easy data visualization, at my company they really like it. It is so easy to work on the data and displaying it in the way people will like it the most.

What do you like best about the product?
Overall, I love the software. It always great ability to develop great, interactive, dashboards for the Directors of multiple divisions in our company. Tableau has various options from which we can visualize data. The diversity of images or plots we can create from Tableau is vast.It is very good to do some data mining on your data. Ve used it on corporate data for performance improvement and it was a huge help

I currently have a report which is giving me an error. It is very difficult to find the root cause in this software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a lot of data that we can work on but since we have a lot of data, it becomes difficult to operate on that data. Tableau gives a platform where we can work with such large data, create dashboards and handle things efficiently

I suggest that any organization should evaluate the pros and cons and decide whether they want to invest in this software. If they have the resources to invest, they can go ahead and purchase this software. This software will definitely enhance your productivity
Tableau is the best!
What do you like best about the product?
Amazing features for all types of data reporting. Whether you're looking for something simple or something with an elaborate data visualization, Tableau can do both! I've used a lot of other similar platforms and I can say with certainty Tableau is the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does have a lot of lag time when working with large data sets. It's also not the most user friendly for beginners. I highly recommend you do some online training courses or tutorials before using Tableau.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau Desktop to report survey response data in a way that is simple to understand for people who are non-analysts. It allows me to share the data reporting (as a pdf) and distribute to leadership. It's very effective if you create a dashboard you need to constantly update with new data!

The ease at which Tableau enables you to quickly provide data visualizations

Some aspects of formatting are unnecessarily difficult and require intensive nitpicking.

The problem of accurately presenting complex data to clients in simple graphic format.
Best Visualization tool in the market now!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the visualization capabilities of tableau. Charts looks beautiful and quite appealing as compare to Qliksense. Inbuilt machine learning model support like clustering and regression makes it ideal tool for analysts at various levels to quickly draw the insight from the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to ETL Tableau is far behind as compare to qliksense or qlikview. There are very limited support in terms of transformation that can be done on the data. So, in case some business logic need to be built then tableu developer again need to perform the ETL to bring the logic. Also, Tableau is not very responsive when the source data is huge. It becomes unresponsive and the data load is slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving various business and operation problems and provieing actionable insights to our end users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Tableau to those who are looking for tool with unmatched visualization capabilities and have a separate budget for ETL tool.
Fast Scalable Modern Day Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and small learning curve. Software is highly extensible and can connect t multiple data sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing model is very restrictive. Even when sharing a license, only 1 person can be logged on. I wish they have a group license on a cheaper pricing model. Most businesses can't fork out huge sum of money just for analytics. So as a result all of the analytical work piles on 1 person unless the organization has more financial resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefit of Tableau Desktop is that it is highly extensible. We can make complex charts and graphs and visualizations with ease. Standard charts and tables are easily created. The connectors are amazing and supports various data formats from csv, excel, json, actual enterprise databases and more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider inhouse talent and since license is costly, in house talent will safe you money in the long run. As Tableau is becoming more and more dominant in the market, the skills will eventually proliferate and might be able to get outside talents for cheaper.
Easy to use and visualize great tool for analyst
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use for basic chart preparation, can be used to connect almost all datasource format, ask data features gives insights automatically,strong tableau community,
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost of the license is very high, cannot be used by small companies as there are cost incurred on infrastructure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing the sales performance on day to day basis across the organization and helpful to take necessary actions with insights.

If requirement is to visualize and analyze the data for insights then tableau is the best tool for enterprise level organization if you are tight on budget than go for power bi
