Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a small org. and still evolving, looking to have a reporting tool where everything can be seen at one place on an Organizational level, yes its a good tool to go for it.
But make sure you don't process too much data in it
It still works with quite a huge data, but it becomes slow and really annoying.

Power house for sharing insight
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau Server makes it simple to share reports with the audiences that need to see them. Permissions are full-featured but still easy to understand, and the ability to sync to active directory fits in well with my organization's overall access management strategy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although you can edit on the web with Tableau Server, it's not as easy to do as it is in Tableau Desktop. Additionally, the business purpose for different sites vs. different projects within sites is not always clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Tableau Server to publish dashboards from a variety of disciplines. As a member of central IT, it is my role to manage the server and educate end-users on how to get the most out of their sites and projects. Individual units have the power to control as much or as little as they want, and Tableau Server makes this give and take a bit easier than in other BI tools I've used. Tableau Server helps give a voice and face to the reporting needs of individual units, but we also use it centrally for more bespoke reporting (Cognos remains my institution's enterprise reporting tool).
Excellent Enterprise Analytics Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau Server enables you to host an internal site with automatically updated dashboards displaying fresh data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once a data source is defined and published to the server it is very difficult to alter. Also, organizing your site can be challenging, better Tableau recommendations on this would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau Server empowers our organization with a site all our staff can visit to find data to address their business questions. The data is automatically updated and filtered views of the data can be shared amongst staff via links generated by the platform or by leaving a comment for @colleague's name to look at something. Advanced staff can also play with the data and save new views of the data as well.
Best visualization tool- Tableau server
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau server is the best visualization and dashboard hosting platforms for all the dashboard creation.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I haven't found any reason to dislike Tableau server. But the cost is high and inflexible .... Some time it's hard to connect with other applications.

Best Visualization Tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is the best tool if you need to have excelent look and feel for your dashboards. Also the custom calculations along with Level of Details is a added plus. Tableau prep is a nice addition. The integration with Python and R works fine. Tableau Online is my favorite. All you need is a browser to explore data. Tableau integration with Salesforce CRM is very interesting.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Tableau had some sort data write-back capabilities. Even though I do not expect Tableau to be a planning tool, I wish Tableau had at least minimal write back capabilities so that I don't have to purchase another tool for my simple planning needs. I wish they had a specific R chart that can display charts that are possible in R script. Predictive modelling in Tableau is not robust and I wish to see lot more features. I wish Tableau had a provision to build complex dashboard with language like Javascript and open up a full world of possibilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created several Workbooks in the domain of digital marketing. Managers and team members from marketing use Tableau Workbooks on a weekly basis to get insights about latest reach of the product etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is recommened to spend some time and learn the tool. You would be surprised with the list of features that it offers when you go deep and learn end to end. Tableau Online is the easy way to implement Tableau. You can create datasets and allow users to explore data on their own when you have Tableau Online.
Tableau Desktop Reveiw
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is user friendly and also developer friendly. In addition, it supports data connectivity to almost all the available data sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau is not capable of handling complet ETL data modelling, for which you might have to invest in a data preparation tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I develop dashboards using Tableau, which provides insights to business users and stakeholders
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tableau is a great data visualization tool, and I'd definitely recommend others to consider it if they are planning to invest in data visualization.
Tableau is more powerful than Zendesk explore
What do you like best about the product?
It gives you more flexibility than the web-based version. It has more features than zendesk explore, which is what I was using to visualize my zendesk data.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it has more features than the web-based version of Tableau. It feels like a money grab situation, Desktop and web-bases should have the same features in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Taking data from Zendesk, cleaning it up with Tableau Prep, and creating dashboards via Tableau. It is easier to manipulate than Zendesk Explore and it's easier for a wider audience within the company to see my dashboards.

Data reporting
One of the best business intelligence software
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau Desktop offers broad business intelligence, reporting, and dashboarding functionalities. The software enables me to see the finer aspects of my data and draw actionable insights from it. With Tableau, I'm able to import my Microsoft Excel datasheets as raw data and use Tableau's advanced business intelligence and reporting features to create awesome presentations for my clients. The solution offers numerous data visualization options such as Sankey Charts, maps, bar charts, time-series view, and others.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is tough to import data from database solutions. It is expensive than other business intelligence and reporting solutions. However, Tableau's features compensate for its pricing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create dynamic presentations - that enable me to drill down any particular area of interest. It adds the wow factor in dashboards useful in high-impact reports for senior executives. The ability to drill down data with the help of one click enables us to pull in the right numbers even during the presentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tableau desktop is a bit expensive compared with Microsoft Power BI. But it offers added functionalities and higher data visualizations. Tableau is moving in the right direction. The software is easy to learn and my team had no issues in adopting it in a short span of time. I even like the certification and learning program that they offer, that helps in quicly grasping the important functionalities of the tool.
