I am solving the business problems using tableau desktop.
Tableau desktop is a great analytics front end and a fantastic presentation layer.
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature of Tableau desktop is the interfacing ability of the tool. The tool could be interfaced with either a relational database or non relational database or NoSQL database. The presentation aspects of the tools like Key performance Indicator metrics, aggregation features, ability to drag and drop, display of the overall report at either daily or monthly level aggregation are all some of the astounding aspects of the tool. Ability to save these individual dashboards is another appealing aspect. Has the ability to connect and analyze Bigdata based dataframework like Hadoop etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could seem a bit complex to users who have been using other tools like Microstrategy or cognos. At times, the behavior of certain metrics could yield unexplainable anomalies. The drag and drop feature could be confusing at times. The loading of tool pauses at times and the desktop resources take a lot of space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tableau desktop is being used as the analytical tool for compiling the reports. These reports are being consolidated and merged to form multiple dashboards for decision making. The ability to present information and metrics in a very appealing and user friendly manner has been quite amicable on business decision making. Tableau desktop is a reliable tool that has been used for the last 2+ years in our organization.

Intuitive, Powerful Tool for Visualization
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau makes it very easy to manage and visualize large amounts of data. I can join tables directly in Tableau with a single click rather than in my backend database, which saves me plenty of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a whole lot of customization when it comes to different visualization options. We have had to code some of our visualizations for specific use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am visualizing inventory accuracy. Being able to see a clear representation of an abstract idea is far more impactful than throwing out statistics. Tableau makes that easy with a direct connection to our database.

Tableau : Best in class visual interpretation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is a great tool for data interpretation, analytics, and data visualization. Its easy-to-use workflow and built-in features make it a great tool. We can just drag and drop the field into X-axis and Y-axis for creating a graph or any kind of visualization graphic. Graphics are very good i.e it has a good User interface. Its drag and drop features save a lot of time which makes a visual in no time. It easily integrates with excel and CRM to pull the data and it works seamlessly. Its very handy for creating a story of a data set which also is very useful in creating a presentation inside the application. It's forecasting and statistical summaries are on-point.
What do you dislike about the product?
Through it is loaded with a lot of features, it is an expensive application. Pricing is inflexible and after-sales support could be improved. Sometimes I face embedded issues
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of historical data and were looking for a BI tool that can create a story of it and give valuable business insights for sales and marketing and that prompted us to purchase.
