Great product for data analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau Server has a variety of ways to display and link data. These links can create comparisons across data sets that would be difficult to make in other programs. Tableau also has multiple ways to filter through data to find high-impact areas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau integration can be difficult, so some of the data pipelines are fragile. Also, when data is linked to other dashboards, the raw data exports become muddy with duplicate entries and losing date range specifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our department is driving new initiatives to be more data-driven and proactive rather than reactive. Tableau data is helping us understand and manage our business so that we can make data-based decisions

Tableau is a strong data tool and can easily turn large complex data sets into workable dashboards.

There are a lot of options to choose at any given time. Lots of buttons to click. It can be confusing the first couple of times you use the site

What do you like best about the product?
I have tried many tools for building reporting and performance analytics on business data. Out of all the tools I have used, Tableau has stood out as the top one for many reasons:
1.Simplified user interface - this makes the interface very self-intuitive and easy to use. Any audience type, Tableau power users, developers, data analysts or business executives can use the tool based on their skills and expertise.
2.Handling large datasets - Tableau allows connectivity to any type of data source ranging from Excel, SQL to Hive, AWS, etc. and can easily handle larger data volume without causing any performance load issues while running complex queries on Tableau datasets

What do you dislike about the product?
I have been a Tableau power user since long time, one thing I would like to see Tableau team develop is user community that Power BI has. User community helps connect an individual with any other Tableau user out there and help answer any tool related questions quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using drag-and-drop features and self-service capabilities, I create charts and visualizations to understand the business data better and produce meaningful insights. Marketing analytics, data science forecasting and modeling, business data analysis, data cleaning, and manipulation, etc. are some of the use-cases I work on a regular basis using Tableau.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tableau has a rich feature set compared to Power BI when building visualizations and its the best tool out there for data analysts or data scientists in any company.
Powerful Visualization Tool; Has its Flaws
What do you like best about the product?
I love the way you can customize your visuals. They are very fluid, and you are not stuck in a box with just a bar chart or scatter plot. You can combine aspects from both (or any visual) and make a unique and custom visual.
What do you dislike about the product?
Turning Visuals into a dashboard is clunky; the Drag and drop (both floating and snaped to fill are not easy to use and often size things weirdly. Also, I am not a fan of not have a data manipulation tool built right in for on-the-fly changes to the underlying data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are visualizing complex business problems that contain lots of data. Tableau is great at handling large data sources
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try if you have the budget and the time to master it. It is the most powerful visualization tool, just not the easiest. It can be clunky at times, but once you get the hang of it, the possibilities are almost endless for visualization.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very successful in visualizing data. It works well when making interactive dashboards and infographics. Many graphic options are available. It can import data from many sources. Working with data in date format is quite easy and efficient. The automatic grouping feature makes my job easier. A free version is available for students and educators. It integrates well with Python.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a problem with your map application. I can't mark location. Data processing feature can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to Tableau, I can visualize and analyze data quickly and efficiently.
Helpful for building reports, too many non-intuitive features and formatting is very difficult.
What do you like best about the product?
Useful for connecting multiple data sources and building cohesive reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many features are very non-intuitive, especially formatting. I would much rather use Microsoft Power BI. The way data is aggregated can be extremely frustrating, where totals will not match the underlying details.

The problem of viewing multiple sets of data in one cohesive dashboard. Removing multiple manual processes.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can use Tableau to find all of my customer surveys. It helps collect all the feedback and improve my training skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I dislike. I've had a positive experience so far with this product.

Tableau helps me access customer feedback on all my training sessions. I use the feedback to improve my training skills and training sessions. I enjoy using the program because it helps bridge the gap between my customers and my company's product.

I have no advice to give since this product is pretty ease to use.

What do you like best about the product?
Handling large amount of data and presenting interactive graphical view
What do you dislike about the product?
It is licensed and paid. Required significant IT team involvement. Comes with 15 Trial period only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doing data analysis using tableau and found it convenient to generate various kind of graphs. Preseting various data from Database source to client which can be dowloaded in various format like csv, excel, pdf etc.
