A great business intelligence tool with great data analysis capability
What do you like best about the product?
The data analysis capability is outstanding; You can achieve almost all visualisations using the interactive builder, calculated fields and a lot of features which helps a non-technical person as well to create reports using tableau.
What do you dislike about the product?
The performance is usually slow when you build a dashboard with several reports. Also, the performance with live data connections is relatively slow, and sometimes with relative databases, it is not up to the mark. Lot more visualisation charts can be made available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mainly use tableau for the data analysis and data visualisation purposes for the entire company.We build different dashboards for different departments for their business as usual activities.

Very easy to use for people who are not very Tech friendly

-Online community for Tableau server is not as vast as Tableau desktop

I managed the BI dashboards for the leadership team on certain operational metrics - we wanted to manage the capacity of IT workforce and its allocation to various projects

What do you like best about the product?
What is most helpful about Tableau Server is the ability to access and create high-end reports for our professional community in a web-based platform without limiting access to one particular device.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I have not experienced issues, I recognize there is a certain stability in having the desktop version of Tableau. So far, the worst issue has been maybe a faulty connection or an issue accessing the server, but that is a very rare occurrence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau Server allows us to access system-level data in a secure environment, explore data related to our institution, and create reports or storyboards most appropriate for our constituents.
Powerful Tool for Analytics!
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is well-updated and has most of the features listed on the bars. One of the best features is the graph selection which automatically highlights the available graphs as per the data uploaded. The UI is easily navigable, and the ease of drag and drop is incredible, making using tableau a breeze!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes arranging data in a table becomes cumbersome, and the limited data capacity on the desktop doesn't let you take full advantage of the application. Also, creating a calculated field is a little confusing at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its tool has helped our team do quick data analysis based on our business requirements. Our management likes to see data analysis quickly and in visually interactive dashboards, which tableau does at its best.
Tableau integrations require high technical skills.
What do you like best about the product?
Build a dashboard that is very helpful for viewing business metrics and KPIs metrics. Integrate different data sources to create new analyses. Connect continuous micro-surveys.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price and the requirements for integrations, which demand very high skill to solve technical problems with integration. Sometimes a slow load of the dashboard is uncomfortable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Left to use Google Sheets and Excel to build graphics. More safe information from business. Turn different levels of access to Tableau, as folders for example. Build different groups to access information.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is an easy tool to create visualizations and help you to understand your data. It's easy and quick to understand the basic concepts. Also, it has a great community, and you can find tons of how-to articles and videos online.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau has a lot of features, but some of them are not intuitive and user-friendly. Like with any app, you can always find loads of possible improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau Desktop offers various data connectors, and you can quickly analyze your data. It is much faster to create tables/calculations and charts than in MS Excel, which I used to be work with before.

The software's implementation procedure is quite straightforward, and it necessitates minimal upkeep or technical expertise. I appreciate how straightforward it is to explore data on Tableau. It offers a range of functionalities that are absent from other Business intelligence solutions. Our ability to customize the dashboard and study data with advanced features is the most valuable feature.

It occasionally responds slowly when we run it on low-end devices while performing more than two or three tasks simultaneously. Integration with active directories needs a variety of upgrades and improvements.

A simple and compact way to visualize and analyze large data sets
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau has incredible data visualization and analysis capabilities that are extremely useful in our organization. The dashboards are intuitive and graphical; the best part is that no excellent programming skills are required to handle a vast amount of data sets and monitor every area of the organization seamlessly. The data analysis is easy to use, highly scalable and integrates with other applications easily. The program is easy to understand and operate and has an exemplary user interface and support.

Only when you need to do a download that involves large amounts of data tends to take longer than usual; it can take a long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps us do something unique with the organization's data from different sources to understand everything happening, make better decisions at the business level, and locate what can be corrected and even what can be improved. It integrates well with other programs to extract the data we need; the visualization through dashboards is excellent and analytical; it is a powerhouse-made software. Everything is perfect for us with the use of this BI tool.
