Very useful tool for data analysis
What do you like best about the product?
A variety of visualizations for data analysis, attractive interface, helping to make interactive graphs and charts
What do you dislike about the product?
Users need some training to figure out full benefits and functionality, however, the capabilities and features of the program are superior

Used this software to analyze a large amount of data, make presentations and reports for senior management

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy Tableau’s versatility and customizability. It’s not a one size fits all solution like some new web-based products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau can connect to many types of database sources, but pulling data from cloud based services usually requires a replication and warehousing tool like Stitch or Alteryx.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to save tens of thousands of dollars by creating dynamic consumer demographics dashboards in-house rather than outsourcing to an alaytics vendor.
Einstein - The complete analytics
What do you like best about the product?
AI is only as powerful as the data which powers it, but Salesforce has plenty of that, training Einstein predictive models on a range of data collected by Salesforce products. This includes: customer data, activity data from Chatter, email, calendar and ecommerce information, social data streams and even IoT signals. Einstein continue to adapt to changing user behaviour as data comes into the cloud platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is still in the initial phases and not much documentation and help is available over the salesforce support for the same

Great for ingesting, manipulating, and visualizing large datasets.

Tableau's learning resources are outstanding in many ways, but documentation is lacking for some of the more niche built-in functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Leveraging big data to inform key business decisions. Before dedicating dev resources to building out new features, we are able to test their value to customers by prototyping certain views/dashboards in Tableau.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Worth the cost if you understand what it's for (data exploration and visualization) and what it isn't (standalone platform for predictive modeling and analytics).

There's so many different types of data that you can customize Tableau to produce. It's got tons of different views and can break things down to optimal detail.
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing and exporting data isn't necessarily the easiet. The interface itself also isn't OVERLY user friendly with how to filter data down sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Tableau to manage and audit all of our key performance indicators. This allows us the opportunity to have insight on a very detailed level which ultimately helps us better develop action plans.
Useful, but with a learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to create visualizations for business purposes using this technology--once you have learned to use it properly. I also really like how much support there is for this product, both from Tableau and the Tableau community.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not a super intuitive product. I would definitely recommend taking a class to begin your implementation of this product. Both for the administrator and actual user/creator.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Tableau Desktop to create interactive dashboards for clients. We are still in the learning process of how to best design these dashboards so they can be used successfully. Once we have a bit more experience I believe these dashboards will be very popular products.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Recommend but with the caution that implementation will take work; however, the work will be worth it if you regularly make visualizations with large datasets.

This tool has been a blessing as it solved a lot of problems when it comes to collating the data from different departments and giving a summarized insightful view to the top management This is one of the best dashboards till date with plethora of options

IT Support is required frequently and the support takes times.
