What do you like best about the product?
The ability to pull large data sets from multiple sources and cross analyze with its powerful processing engine into 1 visualization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires a good amount of training which can be a barrier to deployment and adoption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool allows us to effective communicate between Sales Ops, Sales, and Finance using a consistent platform. This was a barrier before using this tool as we have multiple data sources that often had different reporting features, which caused gaps in communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Alignment with your cross functional teams in terms of a desired use case of the tool. Having this agreement set up front will help with on boarding and training services.

The desktop/online breakout is starting to feel a bit dated compared to some all cloud solutions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data visualization, analysis, and providing reporting and dashboard to my organizations.
Efficient but needs work
What do you like best about the product?
It was extremely easy to use and figure out. Plus allowing the results to be exported into excel was great for sharing results with clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
There always seemed to be lags and bugs. it was hard to use Tableau with other documents open at the same time.

Organizing stats and data
Quickly replaced Oracle BI

Ease of bringing in any datasource and linking them together.
What do you dislike about the product?
haven't really found anything I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Current systems did not allow Management Dashboards, only raw data dumps and Excel manipulation. Able to create interactive visual dashboards for the management team to give them the insights to personnel training.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are well versed in data mapping, data querying.
Visual analysis powerhouse
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly dive into the data and explore it
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently company is trying to use it as a reporting tool. It does the job, but tools like Domo are built to report vs visual analysis

Ability to spot patterns/trends, ask data questions and combine data sources
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for visual analysis. Has R and SQL integration so you can get really deep into your data
Good presentation of elements and an even better organization

Any data I input is so well organized and well-designed that it is easy to understand trends and answer any questions we may have. Sometimes, I even find answers to questions we hadn't thought to ask yet. The best part about Tableau is that it is extremely fast to get to the results.

Efficient if you have good background coding team
What do you like best about the product?
All information at fingertips. Merging of files and effortless navigation for the most part.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could take a while to get exactly what you're looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems, certain "Tabs" are down, benefits are simultaneous reports run at the same time I'd then have to find on various platforms at work.
Lots of upside and ability to do complex analysis but hard to get used to
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are lots of options and I feel like I can do complex analyses using the software. The ability to extract or have a live feed of data is also a big plus for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since the software is expensive and not so easy to use I can't create cards or dashboards for execs in the company that they can then take and modify. For that reason, and because I'm not able to share with other people so easily I prefer Domo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use tableau to make many graphs quickly. When I'm looking at many segments, it's easy to switch between different views and filters.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lots of people look to hire people with Tableau so from that perspective it's worth learning, otherwise I would say there are other products that are better.
