Makes tracking trends a cinch

  • December 26, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce takes all of the little bits and bobs that we used to have to track manually and puts them in one central location so we can accurately and quickly identify trends in customer base.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is frustrating to search for a name and have multiple entries pop up for the same customer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We'd been able to identify which leads re most likely to turn into paying customers, make that conversion and then anticipate future needs for them.

Tableau - the BI Giant

What do you like best about the product?
Efficient servers are necessary in the business world today so that the vast quantities of information being transmitted to, through, and from businesses can be delivered to the right people at the right time. Servers need to transmit data, perform data analysis and manipulate data. The transformation of raw data into something meaningful and an insightful presentation of this data is crucial to a business’s success.Tableau Software provides a solution to this server need. In addition to their desktop, online and mobile products, Tableau delivers a server product called Tableau Server. Tableau Server provides solutions to all of the basic server needs while adding details that make it one of the best options on the market today. The Server operates by housing and sharing dashboards created in Tableau Desktop in a matter of minutes. These dashboards can be accessed by users from mobile devices like tablets and phones as well as from individual PCs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial Data Preparation: Companies need to have strong technical skills to build the initial structure. This is typically done by IT or a consulting organization. Once the integration with the data source is done, though users with no or very little SQL knowledge can also access the tool create the dashboards and analyze data.
Features: Some argue that not all statistical features are provided by Tableau. Business–centric solution such as Tableau are used broadly throughout the organization, though they do have narrower set of capability.
Financial Reporting: Although great for analytical purposes, Tableau and other BI tools cannot replace Financial Reporting applications. This does require financial analyst to be proficient in a number of reporting tools and to use them interchangeably.

Can be cost prohibitive
Like most BI vendors, Tableau offers a few different software licensing options. There’s a free version of Tableau for personal use, but its functionality is limited. To download Tableau to your desktop, you’ll pay in the range of $1000 and $2000 per year. Online or hosted access to Tableau costs $500 per person, per year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboard generation for Visual Analytics

As a basic user, I find Tableau straightforward and simple

  • December 21, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that everything has a purpose, there isn't any unnecessary clutter. I like that each icon gives a description when hovering and it's always been simple to find my way around.
What do you dislike about the product?
One frustration i've experienced is lag time while selecting multiple filters, when there are a significant amount of options, it always brings me back to the top after selecting 2-3 boxes. The interface could use some updates in terms of visual appearance, font size, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Viewing and interacting with data. I run reports for my personal performance metrics as well as using it to find project status reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I can only speak to it from a basic user standpoint, but it is easy to find and run reports, the data visualization / charts are very intuitive and user-friendly.

The memory needed to run these reports can be an issue sometimes, of course there are workarounds but they take time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps in distributing reports which are time sensitive in a quick manner. Nothing better than that.

Using Einstein anayltics for every day reporting

  • December 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I have access to nearly all my data, without having to create report after report is amazing. The visual clarity and simple point and click interface are a God send compared to the static reporting of other platforms
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a fairly steep learning curve that comes with it. You definitely need to understand your data and which "bucket" they reside in. but once you learn it, you're flying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The result of being able to see all my Sales people's activity, closure rate, top performers, etc all in one place!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you know what you're doing with your data, and know how to analyze it correctly and segment into the correct market, then Einstein analytics will show you a whole new world of managing, tracking, and reporting on your data. The use case of being able to generate a beautiful report that interacts with a simple point and click to sift through tons of data is more than enough reason to make the switch. Instead of having to create multiple reports, you can have one analytics dashboard that can show all necessary information in a clean, simple to understand format.
