I feel Tableau has been a necessacity for me being as it provides the best support for analytics

What do you like best about the product?
I think the UI elements and the ease of navigative the software puts Tableau in the first position. The amount of features provided to play with data and get into the depths of it to uncover statistical measures, forecasting etc is totally a game changer. Second, being a student, I really loved the fact that the company went above and beyond to provide free license for students for a year which really gets up to the game with this industrial forefront tool! It has made analystics implementation easy and it super portable as it can be integration with OLAP as well as OLTP operations including both local and cloud
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no concrete dowsnsides apart from the fact that it is a bit expensive for people who are looking to learn and not in an organization
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For a lot of academic projects, I was dealing with a lot of data-driven projects where I needed to come to a conclusion regarding measures, features etc. This was possible through Python as well. But, I feel Tableau provided more flexibility and room to understand and play with it as you like till it makes sense for your current problem statement.

Best data visualization tool in the industry, high cost

  • June 06, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The customization tools and options are more advanced than Microsoft products for most novices. It is the best industry-standard visualization tool as a perfect mix of graphic design and data science. The versatility of its design options paired with the ability to program more into it makes it a lucrative tool for companies that have a dedicated data analytics team to present findings to upper management and stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of Tableau is too expensive to viably pitch to small businesses or self-employed individuals. However, I did hear that there is a free version out now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau solves the problem of translating numbers into pictures to effectively communicate a data story.

What do you like best about the product?
The storytelling feature of Tableau. The Vast availability of graphs or charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Tableau trial period is too short, If they release the free version with limited features it would be beneficial for students to get hands-on experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visually representing the insights that a data analyst found from the huge complex datasets.

What do you like best about the product?
Using Tableau was an instrumental part of my job as Business Intelligence Analyst and helped me to achieve high levels of automation and make it easier for other people in my company to acces the information they needed on-demand
What do you dislike about the product?
When using online conections to large databases, as was the case in my company, loading and processing times were very long and often crashed the platform. Also, you have to be very carefull building the databases you will acces through Tableau, if the data is not well organized and defined, you had to work around a lot of things
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of reports and visualizations, giving access to the data on-demand to those who need it, without having to constantly ask for it

Tableau can be a challenging software to learn.

Tableau allows us to bring dynamic and on-demand reporting to our users. It allows us to present data in a standarized and consistent manner.
