  • August 11, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
I have become satisfied customer of Tableau, it has provided us ease to deal with our supply chain related tasks. Because supply chain itself is very demanding and time consuming activity in terms of finding the right source of supply across the world and then planning for order delivery is more hectic. Not only this but we faced great trouble in managing the receipt and tracking of data was also a complicated and time consuming tasks. But now it keeps much value because it is doing everything effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a very expensive tool for all setups. I think its pricing policy could be revised so that it will become a universal platform. Along with this after we installed this application, we really faced some issues in its fast operation. I think a good internet connection is its key source of operation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am capable of managing my complex factors and in real time. Tableau is helping me in optimizing inventory, streamlining transportation, and in managing the delivery time period. Now our team has the better idea advanced modeling and forecasting, which provides visual aspect and insight view of whole process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I will recommend this tool. On the basis of its key features, which will help me to add to my business value, I can better collaborate with my sales and purchase department. I can also get much benefits from its mobile application.

Powerful and Easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is becoming the tool of choice for large and medium size enterprises who are making data visualization a priority. If you are working in a company which is working on Data so they must need a tool which can transform data in to graphs so that they can easily understand data pattern. Tableau is a data visualization tool which help us to give quick insights of large amount of data and gives you back interactive graphs, maps and others according to your need.

Easy to use : Tableau is easy to use and it is basically using drag and drop functionalities, which is easy to perform operations, with the help of drag and drop functionalities user can easily create a visualization in a minutes.

Handle Large amount of Data : Tableau can handle millions of rows of data with ease. You can easily process large amount of data and by making a visualization you can easily figure out the pattern in data. Different types of visualization can be created with a large amount of data without impacting the performance of the dashboards. Also, there is an option in Tableau where the user can make "live connection" to different data sources like sql etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is the biggest issue with tableau. It's very expensive product to scale across a large organization. Compared to other BI tools. If you registered with Tableau they will provide you tableau public free of cost but Tableau public has some limitations . You can use it for personal practice or learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recently , I have completed a project on COVID19 spread in the India. I designed a Bar graph, Map and horizontal Bar graph with the help of Tableau desktop which shows us the number of active patients, Number of recovered patients and Deaths in every state of India . With the help of these graphs user can easily see the spread of corona in India. You can check it on my linkedin account : https://www.linkedin.com/in/falah-anwar-khan-553176167/.

Tableau Dashboard has a great and fast reporting features that allows you to customise Dashboard specifically for a certain device such as a mobile phone or laptop. Tableau automatically understands which device is the user is viewing the report on and make adjustments to ensure that the right report is served to the right device.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are some reasons are as follows;
1 -Powerful Computation.
2- Beautiful Visualizations.
3-Quick insights.
4- Easy to use.

If you are looking for above mentioned things you can go for Tableau . Tableau also community thing so that if you are a beginner you can read and follow the instructions of tableau community. you can also see the trending visualizations on tableau community.

Good for Data Storage and Visualization

  • July 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about tableau is the sheer volume of data it can store and visualize. I can look at data for a company of 50,000+, or I can check metrics for a single employee.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau is not as simple as other tools to manipulate. Filtering data in particular requires a lot of specialized knowledge about table building.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Tableau for deep diving customer service metrics for many years. It helps create a centralized repository for many different KPIs and business metrics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are willing to spend the time tweaking with the filtering, this is a great tool for visualizing and manipulate large sets of data.

Great way to visualize your data.

  • July 23, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Out of the box Tableau Desktop can produce visuals that give valuable insights to your data that would otherwise not be obvious from just looking at the raw data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a little intimidating at first, and may not be instantly intuitive to a new user. The pricing model is a little high, especially for a smaller operation. You'll also feel a little nickel-and-dimed, For instance, you can purchase a Creator license, but if you want to share your dashboards on Tableau Online, you'll have to purchase Viewer or Explorer licenses. I also don't like that the minimum number of Viewer licenses you can purchase is 100, which is WAY overkill for an organization our size. It ended up being cheaper to buy the minimum 5-seat Explorer license instead. Would suggest offering packages for smaller organizations. Also the Sales team could be a bit more responsive. It took about 3 weeks to straighten out an issue we had with the license I purchased being put on the wrong account, and setting up invoicing terms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We recently added a bobtail driver and were looking to rezone our deliveries. Being able to plot all delivery points on a map and color-code the dots by driver helped us to visualize where they were all delivering and where it made sense to make changes. It also uncovered data anomalies (like a billing address mistakenly entered as a delivery address) that we wouldn't have necessarily caught without the obvious outlier on the map visualization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Where their online support leaves off, the user community picks up pretty well. I haven't had an issue or a how-to I couldn't solve pretty quick with some Googling. Also, take some time and watch the videos and sign up for the live training webinars. The live webinars, especially are helpful because you'll see exactly how to use the software to solve an actual problem.

Tableau: A+ BI platform For Everything

  • July 21, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As any other famous BI tools in the market, Tableau has easy to use user-friendly platform.  There are a few things I really like when I using tableau: 1. Tableau has a lot of connection and plugins  (almost all database connections) 2. nice variety of widgets that create stunning dashboards and reports. It is really easy to avoid clutters in Tableau. 3. Easily to data modeling (like extracting, etc), another cool feature is you can do the double joining. I personally some of the BI tools do not have this, and it very important. 4. last it can be used for complex statistical analysis for instance custom calculations.  Overall, this is a really nice tool that helps you to create great dashboard and reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though Tableau has a very user-friendly platform you will definitely need some prior knowledge. What I mean is it will be quite frustrating for beginners. Another issue that I ran into sometimes when you getting large data sets it will take a little bit of time to load. These issues depend on lots of other issues beyond Tableau but will take time to build reports when this happens. Beggest this I don't like is Tableau can be very expensive. We are a small retails focus company and compare to other tools this expensive. Especially when you buy a license for desktop and cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Tableau 3 main thing: reporting, dashboard, and statistical analysis. We have used it to create inventory tracking and purchasing, payroll, marketing, and promotion, etc. It really helpful is to keep employees on track and monitor them using the dashboard.

tough to upload data but nice images

  • July 18, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The final result is beautiful and a big step up from creating data viz in excel

I like dragging and dropping pills, it makes it easy to imagine new visualizations
What do you dislike about the product?
The program is very touchy on the way to upload data. Its hard to get used it. It's harto have large data sets, or complicated questionnaires that need lots of cleaning and uniformity before uploading
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data visualization for client facing presentations.
This is a clear and straightforward output that is easy for clients to glance at and understand.
This has been extremely useful generating maps for checking the geographic distribution of samples in real time as data comes in on surveys and large respondent sample recruits for focus groups
Recommendations to others considering the product:
learn the uploading format. It's complicated! Taylor survey data collection to easily fit into the format and avoid multiple versions of a survey

Tableau is a pretty great tool

  • July 17, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to it, it is easy and powerful
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain things take getting used to. Some things are not as intuitive as you would think. And what seems logical to an everyday user is not allowed in Tableau. The pros weigh out the cons 9 out of 10 times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting daily metrics for our financial products. Being able to find sweet spots and areas for improvement as well as impact of daily global news on consumer behavior.

What do you like best about the product?
Coming in with an understanding of salesforce, it was easier to pick up the concepts and software of Einstein Analytics. I like that I have access to my data at a touch of a finger and can view new markets, spending, and business sectors much more quickly
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is a bit high for what is offered, but it is still a great tool to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying new markets without having to actively research and cold call

Excellent tool for visualizing the activity across your salesforce instance

  • July 14, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Love the UI, it is quite clean and gives you an opportunity to narrow down search with varying levels of granularity
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it a bit difficult to pick up without spending a lot of time on trailhead. The configuration can be a pain if not done through Salesforce professional services
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I personally use it to visualize my deal cycles and the performance of my team. it is much cleaner and more dynamic than traditional salesforce reports/dashboards, and has some impressive predictive analytics features
