One of the amazing visualization technologies
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use that Tableau provides, even for a newbie is amazing. It provides essential training videos for free, which is absolutely helpful. It makes you easily navigate through all the features provided and use them with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think they can improve the outlook of the tool. It would make everything more organized and easily manageable for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m using it for visualization of different kinds of data I deal with. It helps me visualize the data so I can understand the hidden patterns and trends in the data.

The training videos are amazing and absolutely helpful.
Tableau works well for creating internal business reports
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best aspects of Tableau Server is the fact that you can access your reports from anywhere. This is a great advantage in that you can do this from any computer, even if it is not your business computer. This makes it very convenient to access these reports from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
With all the flexibility of Tableau, it does make creating and working with reports somewhat complex. Also the ease with which a user can interact with a report is very dependent on how well the person who built the report understands Tableau and good report design. It can take quite some time to come up to speed on the software and create a well designed report that is easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Tableau Server to host many different business reports needed by sales, management, and the executive team. Having these reports consolidated and accessible by multiple people from any machine makes it very easy to distribute the data within these reports. It also allows most of this data to be "self served" where the user can go to the report to view this whenever they want, rather than a single individual be responsible for sending out this data on a recurring basis.
An amazing data visualization and metric tracking tool
What do you like best about the product?
The highly appealing interface is the most liked feature of this program. It is a great tool for data visualization and data segregation for comparative performance analysis and to track and measure job/work productivity. Its compatibility across multiple devices is also quite impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many things to dislike about this program. The popularity and price of the product might be somewhat on the higher side for small enterprises.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a member of a large organization, I have been tracking my productivity and comparing with others to improve my turnover and develop parallel competencies simultaneously. Tableau has helped me a great deal in harnessing my skills for the required job.

This is a must have software for organizations that are seeking to evaluate volumetric data for the overall improvement of productivity at work.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use UI. Has a lot of functionality and very intuitive. Deeper you dive into the tool, the more you will be able to do and the better your analysis/viz will be. Just started taking more advantage of parameters combines with action filters for user Tableau interactivity and has opened a lot of doors

Cost, seems to run extremely slow if you do not have an upgrade in support/resources. Somewhat trapped into upgrading

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau combines powerhouse features with tremendous ease of use. Tableau can connect to dozens of data sources including expected connections for SQL, Oracle, Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive, Google docs, web data connectors, and much more. Tableau smartly anticipates joining data tables and takes much of the guesswork out of the process. unlike other platforms, tableau also smartly anticipates level of detail operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau could improve it’s array of data visualization options including donut charts, gauges, and Sankey charts.
While Tableau supports plug-ins for these visualizations, they often are not customizable and don’t take full advantage of tableau us abilities. Working with a Tableau API can be challenging but does help to get the most mileage out of the product

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Google forms to gather extensive amounts of data about our business operations. We easily connect the data to tableau and within minutes are gaining deep insights about our practices and how we can improve our operations. Joining data to other aspects of our business, for example, through Google Analytics is a snap. Sharing our findings through Tableau Public or the Tableau Online platform only takes minutes. Using visual analytics in Tableau we have revised and enhanced many of our business operations.

Consider carefully what you want out of your visual analytics platform. If you have exceedingly high demands, Tableau desktop is the preferred solution

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau desktop is simple, easy to navigate with a user-friendly interface. It is intuitive and has amazing dashboards. It is knows for its remarkable visual capabilities. The drop and drag feature is fun to use along with being exceptionally phenomenal as it creates visual easily. It could turn anything into diagrams and catchy flowcharts from structured to unstructured mathematics within minutes. The desktop is well designed and appealing. Its mobile application is brilliantly designed and puts everything at your fingertips.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is high and the plans laid out by the company are not flexible at all. The BI testing capabilities could use a little improvement along with the security in whole as it should be more active and efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If you are looking for a software that do amazing visualizations with the data, Tableau desktop would be a perfect fit for you. The flowcharts, diagrams all could be created within minutes and could hold chunks of informatjon and still look appealing if designed properly. Once you understand the basics of the software, then there is no going back as you would be hooked with the type of visualizations that is possible.
Best tool to analyse the data and create a visualized dashboards.
What do you like best about the product?
It has an easy method to integrate the data, data cleaning is done within the software which saves a lot of time and effort. It also allows connecting the dashboard to data servers. The visualizations are created with just drag and drop. The entire tableau notebook can be exported which makes it easy to communicate with team members and work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a bit long time to open the software and then connecting to the data is slow. Does not have the function for 3D visualizations.

I use Tableau to understand the data provided to me and perform an exploratory data analysis. It helps me to explain my results to the clients.
