I was struggling a bit zith the positioning of the different products but this has improved a lot

What do you like best about the product?
Monitoring ans performance management. Quickly figure out the issue and help the developer resolve the issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Appmon is hard to deploy but looks like the new one agent solution solves that issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance issues. Able to catch issues before production.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get buy in from users.

What do you like best about the product?
Granular visibility into all levels of our applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
AppMon is very powerful but the rich client can be challenging to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ongoing performance monitoring and performance improvements. Much better mean time to resolution when issues do occur.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Skip AppMon and start with Dynatrace

Form a group of passionate power users/admins that have the time to support and innovate with the tooling.

What do you like best about the product?
Full stack monitoring... easy to find the root problem. Out of the box anomaly detection for applications, services, and infrastructure. Ability to find business context (number of users, systems affected) of a problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of our issues are caused by living on legacy systems and not new cloud infrastructures/best practices. IE, we have hosts with multiple processes owned by different teams. That causes issues with our ability to organize (tag) things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faster identification of root cause; driving better MTTR.
Good visibility of the application stack right out of the box.

Watch the presentations from their Perform conference to see how others are using the tool and to get ideas of what you can do. Leverage their professional services to speed up deployment even more.

The ability to get deep insight into what parts of the application take the most time.

There’s a steep learning curve, but once overcome it is a really great tool.

We’re using dynatrace to improve performance.
