Using Jedox for reports in accounting software
What do you like best about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jedox mainly to create Reports for our Accounting Software and for property manangement Software. With the web interface the users are able to get the reports they need without having access to the complex accouting software.
Jedox handles almost all data handling challenges
What do you like best about the product?
It is ingenious how much is already included in the standard license (from integration interfaces to mobile reporting access). The flexibility of working with models as templates or with your own design from scratch is also convincing. With us, it adapts ideally to the requirements of operational needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The detail settings are not always so user-friendly. In most cases, however, further explanations can be found on the homepage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jedox mainly for corporate planning (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, operating figures, HR) and reporting. Sometimes it is also used for performance measurement (project management) as well as for mathematical optimization problems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When comparing with other tools, make sure that the available scope for individualization of the alternative products with regard to the frontend, data processing and access options is sufficient for the other tools.
Intuitive Software with many possibilities
What do you like best about the product?
Tools like Dynaranges, Macros, graphs and the possibility to set variables through Comboboxes etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smaller bugs concerning performance (I had to restart my session multiple times because Jedox stopped working or new entries in cells were immediatly deleted). Other small issues like not being able to choose the colors of a graph when it is based on a Dynarange.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am mainly creating reports to be used by other companies. Jedox provides many tools to make it relatively easy to realize informative reports.

Just try it out. You have a 30-day trial. The online courses are very good too and you can learn everything on your own.
A value add tool
What do you like best about the product?
The system is incredibly easy to use. The excel add in allows the user to work directly in the familiar environment of excel. The system can mostly be maintained by Finance which removes the reliance on the IT team. Can be implemented relatively quickly in an agile environment, so users can review throughout the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
We work with a lot of data so found the number of dimensions we could have in a cube a bit restrictive sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of manual processes which require running a report, exporting to excel and adding logic. In this tool we were able to automate all this, so only had to open the file and update each month. It enabled users to spend more time analysing numbers (value add work) rather than just number crunching.
Affordable, easy to use Software

Possibility to work with Jedox closely, fast support if needed, feature-voting, easy to use, affordable for mid sized companies

New releases oftern show signs of not enough testing

Costcenterplanning, Dashboard and reports that look nicer that SAP reports
The Jedox Application is a very intuitive tool with a lot of flexibility.
What do you like best about the product?
There are many great features to the Jedox Application. Some that have made my life easier include a very advanced ETL function that is built into the product, very easy to use reporting capabilities that can be spun up in minutes, and the ability to customize almost every aspect of the tool to fit your business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't had many issues with Jedox, but if I had to name one I would say the overwhelming amount of capabilities. There are so many different directions you can go with design because of all of the functionality. This may be a good problem to have, rather than being backed into a corner with other more rigid products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the Computer Software industry we had an issue with the adjusted revenue calculation, but with Jedox we were able to execute the calculation due to its flexible nature. At a Higher Ed client we had an allocation calculation restriction, but were able to quickly resolve with Jedox and fulfill the clients request of a 5 year allocation breakout by month.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are a lot of great features with this tool that will make your life a lot easier. Mainly, speed of implementation and ease of use.
Jedox - Should be a Shortlisted Vendor on Every Evaluation
What do you like best about the product?
Jedox has built an outstanding solution that competes and wins against both the traditional large enterprise incumbent vendors as well as the smaller, niche cloud providers. Combining one of the fastest engines on the market with embedded AI, a growing marketplace of pre-built model offerings, and affordable and flexible pricing, Jedox brings all of the required enterprise capabilities in a nimble, implementable platform for every type of Planning, Reporting, and Analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a European company who has enjoyed large scale success there, Jedox is relatively unknown in the North American market, however they're focused on building out their organization in a sensible and methodic way which will help them scale in terms of marketshare and mindshare. While this isn't a negative, it will take a short bit of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jedox has significantly shortened the lifecycle for FP&A and Operations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get past the hype of the super vendors as well as the highly marketed smaller guys trying to go IPO or stretch beyond their means. Jedox has great customers around the world, with users in the 10's of thousands within single companies. They're tried, true, and solid, and as a company, they have an incredibly approachable executive management team.
Very powerful and easy tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of building models and reports with Excel add-in. This way I could reuse old Excel reports without much effort. Also liked the powerful built-in Data Integration capability - easy to set up even most complex needs.
Data integration was a breeze with a variety of standard formats including connection to Salesforce.com. I was able to do significant and complex data preparation and manipulation in the tool without writing any code.

What do you dislike about the product?
Can't be used as the primary raw data entry tool. But then I guess that is what system of records are for. It does a great job of getting defined data inputs though from different people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have utilized Jedox for Financial Reports & Sales Planning. Jedox is a great stress buster... building new reports is extremely easy. Making changes and debugging data or report issues is extremely easy with drill-through. The interface makes it easy to do step-by-step issue resolution with a visual map.
The key benefits of Jedox were that automating the most mundane parts and being able to focus on sharing and collaborating easily. Heavy lifting is done by the software and makes it easy to build new proactive reporting and modelling.

Jedox is an extremely powerful planning product. To make Jedox successful, you have a good clarity on your planning process. It has extremely powerful analytics and reporting capabilities, so don't limit your use to just planning or modelling but look for opportunities for broader reporting application.
