Flexibility of rundeck is the strong points of using this software

It lacks a refined interface but the flexibility makes up for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have automated quote a few things , the best one would be user mobilization and demobilization.

The interface could be more user friendly for USERS.

The open source, free version is super powerful and effective for automating workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike! it is configurable, powerful and open source.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are automating routine IT and Business operations tasks and workflows so administrators and end-users can automate playbook type operations. Saves time, minimizes mistakes and gives clear visibility into job scheduling and run history

The best is the simplicity, documentation and easy configuration.
Very rarely I came across a bug and got a quick reply when reporting it.

What do you dislike about the product?
The listing of nodes that is selected when running a job is good but would could be improved. A way of grouping them would be good (based on a tag or a new node property field for example) .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was really helpful for the 2nd level support that was able to automate some routine work on the systems.
It was also useful to shutdown applications that spawn across multiple servers.

The benefits for automation are very high for the small amount administrative cost to maintain Rundeck in your infrastructure.

it reduced lot of manual work of different teams and streamlined the same to achieve process visibility

What do you like best about the product?
Though there have been other Tools for Automation, But i felt really comfortable in using Rundeck due to its Simplicity, Ease of Use and Integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now we are using Free Version not good, Paid Version looks far better than free Version. Possible we may change to Paid Version !!!!

I love Rundeck acl's and the full automation idea.
What do you dislike about the product?
Acl's creation when you work with ldap groups isn't user friendly until you catch it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We stopped using the crontab of every server, instead of that we started to automatice al tasks with rundeck and his scheduler, so we dont need to start searching things on every server.

Lack of remote agents in community version. Completing solution would require significant effort.

trying it out in dev env. to see the benefits of automating dev ops requests. Seems to be really standing tall to its claims !
