Avoid Factorial: Data Mishandling and Poor Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
The software is alright. There are bugs and pain that comes with using Factorial for a mid-size company. In general, it works ok and does the job.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our experience with Factorial has been extremely disappointing. We gave Factorial five months noticed that we were closing down the account and needed to retrieve our data. Seven. months later and we still don't have the sensitive data despite asking for urgent support multiple times. Account Manager, Customer Support, Legal, and the CEO himself have been contacted, but no one seems to care about us as a customer.
If you value your time, your data, and your peace of mind, DO NOT USE FACTORIAL. We hope this review serves as a cautionary tale. Proceed with extreme caution if you’re considering Factorial as your HR platform.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It attempts to solve core HR management, including time, contracts, PTO etc. It had served our company ok besides bugs here and there, but when we needed ownership of our data, the company was extremely unhelpful.
An efficient and user-friendly HR management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Factorial stands out for its intuitive interface and ease of use, making it accessible even for non-technical users. Features like employee time tracking, document management, and payroll integration save significant time and streamline HR processes. The centralized dashboard provides clear visibility into employee data, ensuring compliance and effective workforce management. Additionally, their customer support is responsive and helpful, addressing queries promptly.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Factorial offers excellent features, some advanced functionalities, such as more detailed reporting or customization options, are limited and could be expanded further. Additionally, the initial setup can be slightly overwhelming due to the range of tools available, and integration with third-party applications could be smoother. For smaller businesses, the pricing might be a consideration when compared to alternatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Factorial has streamlined our HR processes by centralizing key functions like time tracking, document management, and payroll processing. Previously, these tasks were scattered across multiple tools, leading to inefficiencies and errors. With Factorial, we've reduced administrative time, improved data accuracy, and ensured compliance with labor regulations. Additionally, the automated notifications and reminders for performance reviews and employee documentation have helped us stay on top of critical tasks without manual intervention, ultimately increasing productivity and employee satisfaction.
Very good
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is that I have been able to improve processes within my department. The control of time, absences, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything is useful, but I would like the help consulted on the page to be a bit more specific in some cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The management of absences
Ok but fast growing software
What do you like best about the product?
Good design, strong suite of features, document storage is good
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not built for the US market very well. Translations are poor, and some features are suited to European PTO and HR policies and not as much to American companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing time and HR docs
User-Friendly Interface
What do you like best about the product?
Effective communication is crucial in any educational setting, and Factorial is amazing in this area. The platform offers various communication tools that facilitate interaction between students and administrative staff. Whether it’s through announcements, direct messaging, or feedback forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
some users have reported that certain features can feel overwhelming due to the amount of options available. This complexity may affect the least experienced users from fully utilizing the platform's capabilities, limiting its effectiveness in enhancing the student experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Factorial’s scheduling features have been a great addition for our business school. With the ability to manage class schedules, extracurricular activities, and appointments, both students and staff can optimize their time. The platform’s calendar integration helps prevent scheduling conflicts, allowing students to engage fully in their academic and social lives.
Exceeded our expectations!
What do you like best about the product?
Their platform is intuitive and easy to use, which has greatly facilitated human resources management in our institution.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is generally user-friendly, some features could benefit from more detailed tutorials or documentation. Occasionally, we found ourselves needing to reach out to support for guidance on specific functionalities that weren’t immediately clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The features they offer, such as payroll management, absence tracking, and performance evaluations, have optimized our internal processes. These tools have allowed us to streamline our operations, enabling us to focus more on education and less on administrative tasks. The reporting capabilities are also a significant advantage, providing us with insights that help in decision-making.
Very hard to implement, very poor support
What do you like best about the product?
Well-sold software: an offer that seems interesting during commercial exchanges, but quickly turns out to be not very operational
What do you dislike about the product?
Very disappointing experience: Factorial trainers voluntarily lock the features for which we pay (!) while they are available to show us what seems simple. It often takes 2 months for Factorial to process a simple, legitimate request. And during this waiting time, we pay...
We opted for a solution 10x cheaper and 10x more efficient, despite our commitment over several more months that Factorial is keen to maintain (a penny is a penny, regardless of the service not provided!)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Corporate Customer Success
What do you like best about the product?
- ATS and all the automation.
- Expense report is also fine.
- Not using the virtual cards, but I see the value in it and centralizing all the expenses for the company.
