Creative Collaboration Made User-Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite facilitates creative collaboration, allowing my team and I to engage in open thinking concepts and maintain a smooth creative flow. The platform really enhances our teamwork by enabling effective communication and idea sharing, which is critical in our field. I also find the initial setup incredibly user-friendly, making it easy for new users to get acquainted with the platform quickly. This intuitiveness is a major advantage, as it doesn’t slow down our work and lets us focus more on our projects. Overall, the Suite's emphasis on collaboration and ease of use makes it a highly valuable tool for us.

Senior Digital Adoption Strategist
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is excellent for creating my process maps and visually illustrating the changes I make to processes. I also find it very useful for sharing with collaborators, and I appreciate being able to download PDFs to include in my project documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to share shortcuts to processes in various folders within my Google Drive. Right now, I always have to open Lucid directly to access the process maps, even though most of my project materials are stored in different folders. There doesn't seem to be any option to link Lucid with my existing documentation, which would make organizing and remembering it's there much easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives me a platform to create digital content and visual mapping for my projects
Customizable Charts and Easy Export, But Limited Free Features
What do you like best about the product?
it allows you to customise the boxes and change the sizes of them. Also allowing to export them to a PowerPoint is very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
that you can only make 3 charts on the free version. Also it would be good if there was a help box to explain each meaning of the shapes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are able to show and set up new processes and easily present them back to the business

I like that Lucid is easily to collaborate on and has a user friendly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the templates are a bit underwhelming. It's hard for me to find one that I really find helpful to start with
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid is helping me have an easy way of creating diagrams for technical documentation and quickly having others contribute to those diagrams. This helps speed up and clarify the implementation of technical solutions.
AI-Powered Efficiency Boost with Lucid Suite
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the AI features in Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite. Recently, I tried one of them where I could give a prompt, and it would create an entire image for me based on just that input. This capability is not only fascinating but incredibly practical. I find these AI features to be significant time-saving tools. Previously, creating a Lucid diagram from scratch was a time-intensive process, involving building blocks meticulously. However, with these AI-powered features, I can write detailed prompts to design things such as wireframes to share with my engineering team. Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite then efficiently builds a neat diagram with various screens, precisely based on the input prompts provided. This functionality dramatically reduces the time spent on diagram creation, making it invaluable for my role as a product manager tasked with transforming ideas into visual formats easily understood by my team. The ease of setup is also something I appreciate, as it was largely plug-and-play when I set it up through Okta, enhancing the overall usability of the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think I was hitting the capacity limits when I was trying it out, so that did not work for me. So I'm guessing that is to get, like, a paid version or something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to efficiently create wireframes, mockups, and diagrams, conveying complex ideas visually to my team as a product manager, saving time with AI features that generate detailed images from prompts.
Great for simple diagramming on free plan
What do you like best about the product?
I like the wide variety of templates and shortcuts that make sketching diagrams very fast. Learning shortcuts can take a little bit to fully remember, but then it becomes second nature. I enjoy the additional content that makes collaboration with others more effective, like emoji reactions, comments on specific shapes and sticky notes. The ability to use containers to create a table of contents makes navigation much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the free plan, you can only have 3 charts and 3 boards editable, but there are still workarounds to keep working with more, so I think it's reasonable for being free. The major downside for me is limited shapes. You can't keep on building more complex diagrams. Also, on big Lucidspark whiteboards I noticed significant lag and loading times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can create diagrams of undocumented processes much faster than with other tools. I mainly use it to build flowcharts that make source code understandable for non-technical people. Since it’s a highly iterative process, the ability to draft quickly, rearrange space, and easily modify or completely redo parts of the diagram saves a huge amount of time.
Great for Visual Collaboration, but Embedding Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
As part of a cross-functional team that drives the lead management workstream at the company, I frequently rely on Lucid in order to visualize and share knowledge effectively. I like that Lucidchart allows me to share information about systems, movement (e.g. lead flow), and end results, while also representing our company's brand colors and fonts. I also am able to embed Lucid visuals into other tools, such as Confluence pages or Slack channels. There is a bit of a learning curve when you first start using the tool, but our IT team (managing the Lucid relationship) has done a great job of setting up workshops and training sessions with Lucid experts, including a recent session on Lucid AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when Lucid can be kind of clunky or inconvenient to use, especially when embedding into other tools. I previously mentioned that I am able to embed a Lucidchart into a Confluence page. However, this ended up quite large on the page and it was difficult to resize given the restrictions of the Lucid-Confluence integration. Since the whole point of my Lucid usage is to share information with the organization (e.g. sharing via a Confluence hub of pages), that was not ideal, and I did end up using a screenshot and link to the original Lucidchart instead.
As I am a user and not an admin, I cannot speak to the ease of set-up or implementation for Lucid, but I know our company has been using Lucid for some time now.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid helps us solve the need for visualizing and diagramming business workflows. As a main driver of our lead management workstream, I use Lucid to demonstrate how leads flow from one system to another, how we determine which leads are scored and routed, etc. This information is quite technically complex and most marketers at the company require additional education, so Lucid is key to allowing us to provide that education.
