Lucidspark User Review
What do you like best about the product?
The design of the widgets and ability to create beautiful diagrams. Collaboration tools were very easy to learn how to use and helpfull for facilitating design planning with a large team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Major complaint is around slowness in rendering a chart/design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Designing Microservices courses with Capital One Learning courses. The benefits have been realizing the usefullness of LucidSpark as a developer tool in the design phase.
Really enjoying Lucidspark
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Lucid for analysis and design, brainstorming and whiteboarding sessions. Very useful and powerful tool to help mind map and visualize
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything to dislike really
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborative whiteboarding in these Covid remote consulting days has been a fantastic tool
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
Layout and features in the application are great
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing specific, it is doing almost everything needed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product roadmaps
Simple or Technical - diagram and your thoughts, process, or concept collaboratively for clarity
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease at which first-time users can quickly begin to collaborate. I also appreciate the many templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have not had problems with LucidSpark. I had previously used LucidChart and found it easy and extremely useful. With everyone working from home, I have used LucidSpark as an online, collaborative whiteboard. I have previously used Microsoft Whiteboard embedded in a Teams meeting, but it sometimes failed. Since this is completely web-based, I have had very little trouble.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a college professor who is accustomed to teaching in a classroom setting. When the shift to online occurred, I was lost without my whiteboard. I have a drawing tablet at my home office and used SmartDraw and Microsoft Whiteboard embedded in meetings or in recordings. Occasionally, those tools failed. LucidSpark has not failed as a whiteboard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a collaborative whiteboard, LucidSpark is the one! There is no special software to install or maintain; just log in and draw.
Flexible and lightweight workflow and architecture planning tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy online access and sharability with team members
What do you dislike about the product?
Load times and latency issues with larger diagrams
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time collaboration on IT architectural diagrams and easy markups/notes within those
Awesome diagramming and cross collaboration! Easy, simple and sophisticated in all aspects.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity of the tool (drag and drop shapes) to allow me as a technologist to easily whip up some awesome diagrams to solve one of the world's most challenging problems! It allows me to create a blueprint for my simple to complex applications and gives me the ability to help my clients "visualize" their ideal app concepts or gaps within their business requirements/processes. It helps me build more trust, it allows me to collaborate with my internal and external stakeholders on projects interactively, and it helps me do my job better!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike, just some constructive feedback: add more shapes on Lucidspark just like Lucidchart. I'd like to see better options to create borders around my workflow diagrams, for which currently I am using "lines". I'd also like to experience better loading speed. Currently, it takes up to a minute sometimes to load my diagrams which can be pretty frustrating on live customer calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Lucidspark to do similar things I do with Lucidchart, which includes:
- Creating the app blueprints (such as data models, workflows, and process maps) for some of the world's most challenging business problems, including Covid-19 related applications. These "blueprints" help me collect notes on customer calls while brainstorming on how I can help bridge the gaps in their business process. It helps me visually communicate the solution(s) I can provide as a technologist to improve/automate my customers' processes/workflows.
- Creating internal network diagrams and other workflows for presentations about product knowledge.
- Cross collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on various projects/team building sessions.

Best whiteboard experience out there.
What do you like best about the product?
The user experience is quite friendly and easy to learn. There are no big learning curve or feeling that there are missing features. This is a great collaborative tool that permits us to work together during conference call (mainly on teams for us).
We tried many other software in the past couple months and none of them where as polished as Lucidspark.

What do you dislike about the product?
There doesn't seem to be a free version like LucidChart. It is hard to recomended to other because there aren't any limited (not in time) version that you can use.
Lucidspark should have a free version of the software available to everyone without a time limit, like it's big brother. I have a access with work to the software but outside of that, it's not possible for me to access it or to recommend to anyone outside of big organization. I have a few situation where it would be ideal but decided to use a lesser service because it was not possible to at least see if it would be meeting the requirement.
And no, a "Time limited" trial isn't convincing at all. Nobody like those. This is very 1990's like.
Make it available to everyone, cut down on the number of features available by default if you're not a paid subscriber. Also, you should have non-business customer pricing as well. I believe there are people who would pay for a service like this and I'd probably be one if it was reasonable.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamwork during online conference call. All sharing idea and participating.
There isn't anything specific I can put here. We just use it during discussion to make the conversation more visual. We already do it with Lucidchart since we're able to see other people move around on the software.
It just apply in situation where a chart isn't in question. Brainstorming and such.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't have any tips per say. The tool is pretty easy to use by itself and doesn't require training of any kind.
I had access to the tool for a short while myself and could create board and use it. However, we have limited number of license and mine was redistributed to someone else for now. I can still access others board.
The only tip I could give is "don't think too much about the tool and more about the idea. The tool is only a helper in getting there."

Professional - Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Professional looking Boards for white boarding, ease of use and UI similar to Lucid Charts, Integration with Microsoft Teams. Being a part of the Lucid name helps as it is a familiar name with good reputation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cant think of anything specific but perhaps more product usage demo videos will help to learn advance features and reduce the learning and adoption curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidSpark has been helpful during lock down and lack of co-location of the team.
Abilility to collaborate remotely can be challenging and visual aids like digital boards help greatly- Lucid sparks helps when white boarding technical or roadmap discussions, sprint retrospectives is the major benefit.

It's amazing for team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
The ability for multiple users to edit the same diagram
What do you dislike about the product?
No layers functionality available and more types of components would be useful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating software development whiteboarding with other people
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent collaboration tool
LucidSpark great for collaboration / a bit tricky with licensing and logins
What do you like best about the product?
The tools. There are lots of ways to interact on the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
The logon for users who are only there to participate in the session made it harder to sell vs Mural.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration and planning sessions with groups to create knowledge base categories and an overall taxonomy
