Intuitive and versatile
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Chart is very easy to use and offers great user experience. Even without previous experience with making flowchart I have found the tool very intuitive. The number of supported charts types, templates, icons as well as the handy AI support make Lucid Chart a fully comprehensive tool for all use-cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI feature can be a springboard for quick prototyping, however it has a few rough edges. For example, I couldn't update the colour palette of my chart through AI prompt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Chart helps me with the iterative process of designing software architecture. Quick prototyping and ease of adjustment makes my work faster
Easy and simplicity
What do you like best about the product?
Work together on whiteboards, include comments and help build a image for those to understand the product
What do you dislike about the product?
Price point. Wish it was cheaper as I so far haven’t seen an issue. I’m only 2 months in using it but so far so good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps visualise the customer experience
Great Tool, easy to use, very expressive
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of good icons, very good library including of Azure, google and AWS. Smooth using of different icons, very expressive, and easy to use. It doesn't take much to get started. Easy to collaborate with my team members. Its easy to implement the DFD, high level diagram and flow
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have not found any, may be add more template for cloud engineering
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To represent E2E flow, collaborate with co-workers, share DFDs, high level diagram and Data Flow across different services helps to articulate your thoughts well.
Excellent tool that supports a wide range of diagrams
What do you like best about the product?
I use Lucidchart primarily for data modeling, and it has been incredibly helpful in creating clear and organized data model diagrams. I really appreciate how intuitive the platform is — the drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to get started. I also like the flexibility in choosing different visual elements, which helps make my diagrams more readable and professional. Additionally, the ability to collaborate with teammates in real time, share diagrams, and manage teams has greatly enhanced our workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to have the ability to define relationships between variables directly within the diagram. I'm not sure if that feature is currently available, but it would be extremely helpful for identifying which keys in the dimension tables are connected to the fact table.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
so far it's been helping me to create easy and fast my data modeling charts and documentation for my data projects aditionally I can collaborate with other teammates that save a lot of time and money!!
Versatile tool replaces the need for multiple applications
What do you like best about the product?
Instead of paying for several tools like Visio and Miro, Lucid allows me to create and modify flow diagrams that were created by those other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a little adjustment period getting use to the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to use one software for all my diagraming and wire framing needs.
Terrific Collaboration Suite and tool for diagram enterprise architectures
What do you like best about the product?
The Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite has allowed enterprise and domain architects across our enterprise to easily diagram the landscapes of our ecosystem while allowing the ability to collaborate real-time which has accelerated the review, edit and approval process each time our architecture is updated.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't experienced anything negative or missing with the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite. Although it's not completely intuitive how to access imported (added) shapes/logos used to create 1 diagram when creating a new diagram. I'm sure it's end user error. I would also like to see a feature similar to the Paint feature, which would allow the user to mimic certain style (shape, size, color) from 1 diagram to another which would promote a consistent user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid's Visual Collaboration Suite represents a 1-stop shop to create, collaborate, store and access diagram artifacts for our enterprise
Lucid is an outstanding all in one information visualizing software.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about Lucid is the sheer amount of options, customizability, and accessibility for users of all types. While I create diagrams with certain structures and color schemes, I am not limited to a miniscule scope and can have a completely different style if I choose to do so.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how some of the quick drag and editing options are impossible to avoid. For example if I want to drag two items to be the exact same pixel distance between another so that they mirror each side, depending on if I have other objects on one side the drag and align click to snap feature harms my process more than helps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's become a very helpful place to explain and create informative visuals that effectively explain our company processes through all stages of development.
Powerful Visual Mind Mapping
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite has been crucial for me to organize my annual communications plan and map out the year ahead. I love how tactile it is--it feels so good to be able to drag things around and easily make adjustments. It's a must for a visual person like myself!
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are really just that it is not adopted universally, or even particularly in a widespread way. I wish more colleagues used it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a more visual way to organize the dozens of programs that we make available to our membership, and it was living in a spreadsheet. While that spreadsheet was comprehensive, it did not offer the visual organization that Lucid did.
Still learning but seems powerful
What do you like best about the product?
It has made it easier to visualize the workflow we are building out, which is pretty complex.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to learn all the features and how to use them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a very complex process we are building with a lot of tools being put together. We are using this to visualize it and make it easier to figure out how we will build this.
Some important lacking functionalities
What do you like best about the product?
I liked being able to interface with Lucid via Chat GPT.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was unable to connect Lucid to SQL Server in order to create a visualization that would dynamically update as the underlying data changes. I also found that the shapes were determined by the number of connections and not customizable. In my use case, I had two things that were similar. I wanted to give them a similar color and shape. I can do this in Visio. In Lucid, they had different shapes because one of them connected to one thing downstream while the other connected to multiple things. This makes it harder for the viewer to understand that these two components are similar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I would like to be able to map out complex processes in Lucid in order to have a simple document to give as an introduction to these processes. This would serve as a references for internal customers to understand the processes quickly.
