What do you like best about the product?
I found it very easy to use it. Within 30 minutes using the tool I as already able to use a template to create a Kanban board and share it with colleagues to collaborate.
The implementation of the things we create was also a highlight and now we have been using it almost everyday to either create new items or to work on existing templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Thus far, nothing. The tool is pretty interesting and the fact that you can collaborate live on the same file is super good. I'm still new to it by I'm quite interested in seeing how far we can go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is boosting our team capacity to collaborate remotely and breakdown the problems we have into deliverables and track them in a Kaban board.

What do you like best about the product?
I utilize Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite on my daily activities. Mainly for project management and team touchpoints (timeline, value stream mapping, organization chart, brainstorming activities, etc.). It's a flexible environment, that gives you a several amount of options and layouts (templates are very helpful). The customer support and learning center is always there to help you in your journey. I always use it when I have to define and implement new project activities or new organizations. I really appreciate it for the unmistakable style that allows you to have well organized projects.
Also, the possibility to integrate it with Smartsheet and Excel is a really helpful feature in my daily activities.
I really appreciate also the possibility to export my jobs into PNG or PDF so I can use those in my presentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is not intuitive and it has few automation possibilities compared to other tools. This of course have an impact on the manual input required.
Also you might face some syncing lag when multiple users are working in the same file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me on starting the implementation of new projects, where I have to set up the project team (org chart), define the processes (diagramming) and timeline utilizing also whiteboards for brainstorming activities with the team. With the templates I really reduced the time spent to to the kick off of the activities.

Lucid offered a number of plug-and-play options for creating an organizational chart.

Lot of very useful features but not easy to discover

  • July 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ability to copy stickies as plain text. It makes them super accessible visually on the Lucid board, and then it's easy to export that information into other documents or tools. Speeds up my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main challenges are around file organization and sharing. I think that whole homepage could be more intuitive to manage and find the right board when needed. While the Google Docs integration is useful, it's frustrating that it doesn't always show the full name of the document, which causes a bit of confusion. Also, the loading times can be pretty long sometimes, which breaks the flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think it is the challenge of effective collaboration, especially when multiple people need to brainstorm together, particularly on Zoom calls. Its visual nature makes the work sessions much more engaging than just talking. The inclusion of small features like timers, GIFs, and comments significantly enhances the experience. These make it more suitable for longer, more interactive, and collaborative sessions.

Super easy and reliable for anything visual—from college to work

  • July 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, I’ve been using Lucidchart since undergrad, then throughout my grad school at CMU for research work, and now I use it at my job almost weekly. What I like most is how simple and intuitive it is—it just works. I don’t need to mess around figuring out controls or settings. Whether I’m making system diagrams, workflows, or quick planning docs, it’s super easy to drag things around, make it look clean, and share with teammates. It’s one of those tools that stays out of your way and lets you focus on your actual ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s not much I really dislike, to be honest. If I had to nitpick, I’d say sometimes the auto-layout or alignment tools don’t work exactly how I want, especially on more complex diagrams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid solves the challenge of communicating complex ideas visually—especially when working across teams with different backgrounds or when collaborating remotely. Whether I’m designing system architectures, planning ML workflows, or breaking down research concepts, it helps me quickly sketch out a shared mental model that everyone can see and contribute to.

Before using Lucid, we often relied on static slides or ad hoc drawings, which were hard to maintain and didn’t support real-time feedback. Now, Lucid makes it easy to iterate on diagrams collaboratively and asynchronously, reducing friction in team communication.
