Good diagramming software, the free trial actually shows how the software works

  • December 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Arrows have great customization and allow for changes. Lots of good options and a good exposure to what the software can do with a free trial. Free trial doesn't lock basic things down, has a good size limit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a huge fan of AI features but that's how every industry is going so that's not a fault of Lucid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking at project workflow(s), being able to get the process clearly marked.

Intuitive, Affordable, Yet Needs Refinement

  • December 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for drawing software engineering diagrams like ER, class, and use case diagrams. I like that it has lots of shapes and components available. It's easy to use because its UI/UX is intuitive and simple to navigate. I also appreciate its cheap pricing as it's very affordable. The initial setup was fairly easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the software can be too clunky and laggy at times. It would be better if it was more sharp, sleek, and minimalist. Also, a little more focus on the dark mode would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for drawing engineering diagrams, and it solves the problem with lots of shapes and components. I like its ease of use thanks to an intuitive UI/UX and its affordability.

Accelerating Alignment Through Visual Collaboration in Healthcare Design

  • December 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Collaboration Suite has become one of the most practical “get-aligned-fast” tools in our toolkit. Its biggest value is how quickly it turns cross-functional input into something we can actually act on—especially when we’re coordinating experience, operational, and clinical stakeholders who don’t share the same vocabulary but do share the same goals.

Lucid’s combination of whiteboarding and diagramming makes it easy to move from early discovery (journey mapping, service blueprints, idea capture) into clear, reviewable artifacts (process flows, org/process maps, swimlanes) without switching tools or losing context. The collaboration experience allows for real-time co-creation, comments, and structured templates helping teams contribute even when timelines are tight..

Standardized templates and shared libraries help us keep work aligned to our design standards across teams, while still leaving room for flexible problem-solving. Overall, Lucid is a solid suite for accelerating alignment, improving clarity, and keeping complex work human—especially in a healthcare environment where clarity and coordination are non-negotiable.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Lucid is a strong collaboration platform, it can feel limiting for advanced design and systems work—particularly when compared to more specialized tools for UX design, data visualization, or service blueprinting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite solves the core design thinking challenge of turning diverse, often fragmented perspectives into shared understanding and momentum. It gives our teams a low-friction space to externalize thinking—capturing ideas, assumptions, and questions visually—so ideation and brainstorming are inclusive, fast, and generative rather than dominated by a few voices. By making ideas visible and movable in real time, Lucid helps us cluster themes, explore possibilities, and evolve concepts collaboratively, which accelerates sense-making and decision-making. The benefit for me as a design leader is that it keeps early-stage thinking human-centered and transparent, while creating a clear bridge from exploration to more structured design and delivery work.

Clean Interface with Email Overload

  • December 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the clean and easy-to-follow aspects of the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite. I enjoy playing around with it, especially with creating flowcharts and sharing them with my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like getting so many emails. They need to stop sending me so many emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for creating and sharing visuals with my team, and it makes things clean and easy to follow.

User-Friendly Interface with Free Export Options

  • December 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is an easy and free way to create WBS charts. It's got an intuitive interface which makes moving things around and duplicating items simple, and I can change colors and fonts easily. I also like the option to export graphs to high-quality PDF files, and the initial setup is very straightforward, requiring just a quick login.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it to be possible that you can select multiple shapes you created as a user and change their font type and size altogether in one click. Right now, it's possible to do this for colors but not for the font.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for creating WBS charts easily. It's intuitive, lets me move things around, duplicate by holding click and option, and modify colors and fonts. Plus, I can export graphs to high-quality PDFs.

Very convenient, useful and user-friendly in database diagram creation and pipeline visualization

  • December 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Drawing arrows between two objects is simple and fairly customizable in terms of styles and placement. Whatever diagram I want to create I can search the unlimited quantity of templates and for sure I will get a template for that. There’s a lot flexibility to create much more fluid process maps and this make me to use it extensively to even create diagrams within diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not really faced any downsides to using Lucid it helps me in many ways while making diagrams and it is the best in this category, in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Diagrams help show where APIs and databases are deployed and I am able to map caching layers for content delivery. It is simple to display data flow diagrams and stages of development flows to my team.

Really the best platform out there for diagrams and complete organizational charts

  • December 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There is so much available in terms of color and variation of shapes and styles of diagrams. Best platform I have ever worked with to create diagrams or flow charts and enjoyed a smooth experience with even organizational charts. I continue to use Lucid because the quality of the shapes is very good which makes its flowchart outcome to stand out.
What do you dislike about the product?
It I make one connecting arrow rounded then I would prefer if it applied the rounded style as the default for all future connectors, unless I choose otherwise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The flowcharts help me visualize the full movement of products from the field to market and I create communication flow diagrams for reporting shortages or breakdowns so it becomes easy for me to coordinate multiple teams and production sites.

Great and reliable software to achieve the best flowchart output I require for the flow of work

  • December 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid ships many pre-drawn and already grouped diagram items that connect a lot better than with any other software. Lucid also makes it easy to customize these diagram objects as well therefore facilitating diagramming work in an organized and efficient manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free plan allows you to have only a certain number of diagrams and once it exceeds that amount the oldest diagram becomes read only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The process diagrams are very helpful for visually explaining step-by-step operational procedures and showing reporting hierarchies to staff. I also create flowcharts to show how products move through assembly, inspection and packaging.

Intuitive, fast and great for flowchart creation and diagram customization

  • December 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to draw and manipulate lines, connect them to other shapes, etc. Large selection of templates too and it’s nice to have icons be easily importable. The interface provides quick discoverability of tool sets to make high-quality diagrams right from the start.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike so far the software has provided what I need at this time and I feel comfortable when designing diagrams with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creation of training process flowcharts helps visualize the entire training lifecycle from initial needs assessment to final certification. I use the diagrams to plan the hierarchy of our entire sets of courses in a fast and easy format.
