Great partner to establish your data protection management system
What do you like best about the product?
The initial set up was easy. Using the DataGuard platform I was guided through the initial audit. In a reasonable time we produced the data processing directory , a first draft for the TOMs and checked DPAs. In my regular sessions with our account manager Onur Turhan we clarify open topics quickly. Onur is doing a great job, provides guidance, templates and so on and already demonstrated that he can quickly understand our specific use cases and requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platforms usability could be improved and having the data processing directory splitted by areas in PDF files is not the perfect approach (but still good enough to find everything and to work with it).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Set up of a data protection management system for the company as well as for the products we are building. DataGuard provides the knowledge (especially working with your account manager, Onur Turhan in our case) and they provide guidance using their platform for any topic that refers to data privacy.

Super great data protection partner and fast support. Mr. Zierhut is very competent and helpful. He answers inquiries very quickly and clearly. We feel very well taken care of by him.

What do you like best about the product?
With DataGuard as our partner for security, data protection and compliance issues we launched a very solide base for all data law requirements. Our DataGuard consulting partner supports us with a highly pragmatic and solution-oriented cooperation work in all compliance question with regarding the legal and statutory rules.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing - but have to fill this form field. The DataGuard platform offers support and training materials and the possibility to document all data processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataGuard supported us reaching to document all personal data driven processes, support to have an actually privacy policy, AI-documentation.

He knows how to explain even complex data protection issues in an understandable and practical way. Thanks to his support, we feel well cared for and protected.
The Dataguard online platform is also excellently designed: it is extremely clear, user-friendly, and reliably guides us through all processes. This makes the implementation and compliance with data protection measures significantly easier and saves valuable time.

the platform can be a little overwhelming at first because it is so extensive. But once you're used to it, it's no longer a problem.

We needed a competent partner to advise us on all data protection issues. Dataguard is that partner for us.
Great help for an inexperienced DPO
What do you like best about the product?
To me, the main value I got out of DataGuard was in the professional services and access to a data protection lawyer whom could ease my way into the role of DPO and becoming acquainted with data protection legislation.
As for the platform, it was good to have a central platform where everything data protection is supposed to go, with workflows around updating the documentation of processing activities, letting the organization take courses and fill in assessments, as well as a place to document incidents.

What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can be a bit hard to navigate, especially when it comes to how it all fits together. It feels as if you fill in enough information into assessments and documentations to get an overview, but there isn't really that many features to e.g. trace where data comes from and where it goes in the end. Some of the courses could be a bit more polished, as the questions were often ambiguously worded so that even when you knew the answer, you still had to guess the intent behind the questions.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the competent consultants provided by DataGuard, as their expertise helps ensure that our ISMS procedures are already well-drafted and only need to be adjusted for the specific context of my company, which saves a considerable amount of time. The high availability of DataGuard is a significant advantage because it means I can rely on the service without worrying about unexpected downtimes. Furthermore, the good training platform offered by DataGuard serves as a one-stop shop for all of my company's training needs, streamlining our processes and making it easier to stay compliant with essential certifications like ISO 27001. The initial setup of DataGuard was very easy, which facilitated a smooth transition to adopting the software in our operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The training platform lacks depth in its content, making it easy for candidates to pass tests without fully engaging with the training material. This makes the experience less challenging. Instead of immediately providing the correct answer upon an error, it should indicate the mistake first and only offer additional guidance on a subsequent incorrect attempt.

I use DataGuard to support ISO 27001 certification; it saves time with ISMS procedures and offers a comprehensive training platform.

What do you like best about the product?
We really appreciated the helpful guidance towards establishing our ISMS in a way that is appropriate for our small company size. Additionally to our consultants, the dataguard platform (ISMS documention, Risk, Privacy, ...) helped us to find a structure that works for us and generated mandatory documentation that would have taken us ages otherwise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a particular dislike, a word of advice: the bulk of work of establishing the necessary documentation and adjusting it to the company needs still need to be done internally. So while Dataguard is very helpful when it comes to templates, tools and advice, you need someone in-house that is in the lead and is actively driving the progress of the project.

We needed to establish an ISMS in order to get an ISO/IEC 27001 certification. Since we lacked the knowledge and experience in that task and wanted to achieve our goal as efficiently as possible, Dataguard delivered it through consulting and the platform.
