In the early stages of using the platform but starting to see the benefits
What do you like best about the product?
Plenty of useful material to support you; pre-loaded assessments so can start using straightaway; support available as and when required; although I havent tried yet, the ability to adapt existing material to suit local requirements will be very useful. E-Learning module will also be helpful

Like any platform, you need to fully understand how it works to maximise the benefit of using it, which takes time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being new into the business, DataGuard has allowed me to get consistency in how we approach privacy management and improve understanding across the business on matters such as privacy impact assessments and legitimate interests

What do you dislike about the product?
Framework is not logically structured for the certification bodies
Policies were not as formatable as we wanted
Unfortunately, there are always error messages when we wanted to upload something
The usefulness of the software decreases significantly after the initial certification

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We initially chose DataGuard as part of our TISAX certification because we thought the framework would be particularly helpful. In fact, we hardly used it in the end and benefited much more from the numerous templates for policies.
Promising Compliance Platform with Room for UI Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
DataGuard provides a strong foundation for managing privacy and compliance, especially around GDPR. The support team is responsive and knowledgeable, and the documentation provided is clear. I’ve noticed improvements in the user interface recently, which shows the team is actively developing the platform — but it still needs further refinement to make daily use smoother and more intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite the progress, the interface still lacks flexibility in some areas and can feel clunky at times. Certain workflows require too many steps, and customization options are limited. It would also be helpful if pricing better reflected smaller business needs or tiered access depending on usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataGuard helps us manage data privacy and compliance in a structured, reliable way—something that would be difficult and time-consuming to handle manually. It simplifies GDPR compliance, handles documentation, and supports ongoing audits and training. This not only saves us time but also reduces the risk of non-compliance, which could lead to legal or financial consequences. Having a centralized platform also improves transparency across departments and builds trust with clients and partners.

Our consultant quickly and extremely well familiarized themselves with our specific needs as a non-profit organization and guided us very attentively and clearly through all processes. Inquiries are processed very quickly, and communication is always straightforward and pleasant!

Overall, the experience was very positive. One minor challenge was coordinating timelines during peak audit seasons, but the team communicated clearly and managed expectations well.

DataGuard provides an intuitive platform that centralizes our privacy and compliance management in one place. The combination of software and expert support helps us stay on top of GDPR obligations and internal policies without feeling overwhelmed. I especially appreciate how our consultant Onur T. proactively and pragmatically guides us through audits and regulatory changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the audit questionnaires feel more geared toward traditional business models, so they sometimes require extra context or adaptation for more modern or digital-first companies. However, with the guidance and personal assistance of our consultant, it’s been very manageable to tailor the outcome to our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We rely on DataGuard for generating and maintaining our privacy/cookie policies, screening DPAs in record-time, and accessing up-to-date policy templates, as well as their Academy section for regular employee trainings. The software has helped us move away from scattered spreadsheets and manual tracking by providing a single source of truth for data protection and compliance. This has saved us time, reduced human error, and made it easier to demonstrate accountability to stakeholders and regulators.
