NinjaRMM has been a godsend for me to manage my company

  • October 30, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I recently switched from a competitor to NinjaRMM and the difference has been night and day! Ninja's platform just works out of the box. Super easy to implement, and with a couple of exceptions and tweaks, their support was quick to provide solutions instead of finger pointing as the last vendor did ad-nauseum. I use Ninja every single day, whether its to just peek at pending updates or add new endpoints from a Discovery job. The number of features that easily accessible are plentiful and not hidden in most cases. Our onboarding was quick and easy and I was able to setup all of the features (and some extras) within a week.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I could speak about Ninja that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ninja has solved an ongoing tech-debt with my company of Asset management, Helpdesk Ticketing, and Patching. It is handling all those items extremely well.

Great Online Backup Solution and Service

What do you like best about the product?
Once NinjaOne is setup, there is no worry as to whether it is doing the job. Installing the software was a little tedious but it gave us exactly what we needed after using customer supports advice on setup. Also, their customer support is by far one of the best aspects of their software too. When I have questions or an issue and need help, the return contact is very fast, friendly and helpful. We have around 50 devices being backed up. This includes some that were setup differently than the rest due to only being online devices and not networked. So far we have restored about three laptops and the software did a great job. Two of the laptops were image restores and one was the full profile of a user to another laptop.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the cloud for image restores can be slow. We knew this in advance, but the setup defines our needs within our organization to accomadate our online only team devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Both profile backups and images.

Stellar RMM Tool

What do you like best about the product?
- Easy, clean web-based interface
- Agent install is quick and agents start checking in almost immediately (with seconds)
- Active development and road map features; Ninja team is constantly making improvements and releasing quality and feature updates (MDM now in beta)
- Multiple remote access methods: Splashtop, Teamviewer, Ninja Remote (all built-in/included in license)
- Access to remote: CMD/Terminal (as user or as system), Windows Registry, Active Directory, File Browser, Service Manager
- Mobile app (limited features but still very useful and can be used to remote into machines)-- included at no additional cost
- Quick support replies (advanced support is not as responsive but still better than other RMMs I've used)
- No nickel and dime pricing-- pay for the agent, get all the features
- No long-term commitments, cancel w/60 day notice
- End user support-- end user can access their work computers (no extra cost) and Ninja requires them to configure MFA
- Simple patch management
- Powershell/Bash scripting that runs quickly (within 1 minute) unlike other RMMs that queue up for several minutes before running (no more learning proprietary ConnectWise Labtech/Automate scripting language, hooray!)
- Good integration with our EDR, SentinelOne. We originally scripted its install, but recently Ninja launched a built-in integration and it auto-installs with the Ninja agent
- Recently released feature: Installation Automation. Upload your installation file and Ninja will host it and you can just tell an agent to install the app (no need to write a custom script)
- Dojo Community has lots of helpful posts/scripts/etc but of course since Ninja uses Powershell you can easily write your own or have ChatGPT help you out
- Integrations with apps like Autotask included and work well
- Ticketing system works well, you basically just need to enable it
- Access to beta features-- just email your rep and they'll give you access to all the cool new stuff
- Ninja proactively offered free backups with their new product Ninja Backup through hurricane season here in Texas. We don't use it much but felt that it was a really nice gesture. Backup is fairly basic at this time but works well and is simple to deploy.

Honestly, I could probably talk all day about how much we love Ninja. After 10+ years on ConnectWise Labtech/Automate, Ninja is a huge breath of fresh air. 10/10 recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
- We feel it is well worth it, but Ninja is more expensive per agent
- About 3-4 times this year, Ninja had issues with SMS MFA messages. I believe this was really an issue with T-Mobile, but the outages affected end user remote access since many of the users opted for SMS MFA. In any case, I'd love to see Ninja have redundant carriers to prevent this sort of outage in future
- We prefer a single policy per device, but some may prefer multiple policies as some other RMMs do. Ninja only lets you use one policy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Built-in Powershell scripting was one of the biggest game-changers for us. Ninja isn't the only one to offer it, but we came from ConnectWise Automate which uses its own scripting language that no one bothered to learn. Automate agents took several minutes to check-in; Ninja agents check-in within seconds. Built-in CMD access (as user or system) is huge helped. Remote access to file browsing, Windows registry, and service manager are all very helpful tools as well.

Worth noting: NinjaOne is serious about product development. No more long/abandoned road maps. They are constantly rolling out new improvements and features, which we highly appreciate. Kudos to Ninja.

Versatile and Robust RMM

What do you like best about the product?
I use Ninja for Device management and ticket tracking. Has a great set of automation options when it comes to ticketing as well as automating task through various scripts. There is so much great about this application that I couldn't begin to type it all here.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far the only complaint I have with Ninja is that it lacks granular reporting and filtering features. For example, viewing devices and wanting to see all but one location you have to select all but the one you want to see. And the reporting feature I feel lacks a bit. The ability to see all tickets with specific tags and time tracked and give a total % of what tickets have those tags and the cumulative time tracked on those tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps remotely monitor and manage all computer assets. Especially helpful for devices that aren't located at our nearby sites.

What do you like best about the product?
Not controlled by outside sources that are only focused on making money. The ability to deploy and use makes it a no brainer for anyone looking to make a move to a solution that won't suck your soul.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their SentinelOne product offering requires a minimum requirement and a term commitment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many solutions are now combined into one. A lot of integration provides the ability to be proactive about support versus reactive.

NinjaOne is one of the best RMM tools I've ever used!

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is simple to navigate, the scripting and patching process works well and having backup and Teamviewer built in allows us to accomplish our needs without requiring multiple tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting options could be more robust but that has improved since we first starting using the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team is fully remote so the ability to patch, monitor and remotely manage all of our assets is huge.

NinjaOne is a useful tool

  • October 30, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to navigate in general and find the registered devices that need to be worked on. Scripts are easy to set in general and can be applied to various devices as needed. Devices on the domain can be easily integrated and registered with the Ninja client. The NinjaRemote application for remotely connecting works much better than the Splashtop option and allows for us to easily connect and have a responsive session when connected to our more remote locations. We use NinjaOne frequently everyday and has saved us quite a bit of time to get connected and also observe what the situation is on the device needing support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of some options for integrating other apps for notifications and management with those. Ticketing system does not have some functions in it for certain tasks. Would be nice to have status of types of files monitored like the .OST filesizes and other monitored statuses from registered devices. Lack of viewing/expanding the remote connection to show across 2 monitors like other remote apps or RDP can.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving our problem with having some programs that need to be remotely and silently installed for users and gives us a way to track that progress too.

NinjaOnes dashboard's need a little work, when it comes to navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint management was are largest issue and NinjaOne does that very well.
