Mixed bag but strong modern RMM
What do you like best about the product?
Ninja's remote tools are probably its strongest area. I don't think I've ever had an issue with it connecting. Patching is also greatly improved from our previous product and when a patch fails an actual error is given. Antivirus is also always successfully installed which is an improvement from the previous RMM.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard style inferace looks nice but is lacking in actual information. The devices search has that information but lacks a lot of columns I would find useful. The lack of built in scripting means it doesn't do anything that I couldn't already do in powershell, while not entirely limiting it is rather disappointing as it means automating is limited to a specific machine. Policies and Roles feel backwards. I'd rather that we had a global policy that was overwritten when a organization specific policy conflicted. Instead it feels like I have to make a copy of our current policy just to apply a small change to a single org. The changing installation URL is also frustrating as it makes it impossible to script an agent installation or provide a quick and easy installation link for a customer to simply use. For a customer that has to install multiple agents over a long period time, the only solution is to give them a ninja account and teach them how to install the agent.
