A uncertain Journey, with ambition to more, and guess what then came n8n.

What do you like best about the product?
How hard it is until it clicks.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a sadist.
I simply love it when the effort is worth the juice.

What do I mean by this?
N8N looks incredibly easy at first.
Then you get confronted with API's, Curl Commands, and a whole lot of documentation.
Thank god I am a speedreader (I read quickly 400+WPM if I focus) ; otherwise, I would have drowned, since I also have dislexia (the power to read and write wrong while still understanding what is being said), so if you can read, you are one of the few that will master this tool, and since you are reading this congratulations!
Get started, my friend.

Ease of Implementation is there; all you need is to use your brain.
Customer Support is stellar. I mean, they pop out a new baby nearly every week, talk about iterations.
Frequency of use, I would say I have not stopped using it since I got started, and the number of features you have is incredibly vast.

Ease o integration is there considering you simply have to follow instructions, with a little salt on the wound of going nuts until you figure out you were simply opposed to copy and paste, and not overcomplicate things.

So don't think this feels or seems to simple, because it is.

And for all you people with ADHD and dyslexia like me out there, who have a million ideas, and now a proper way to sort and tackle them or build them, this is it.

Keep in mind, I have always loved understanding complex mechanics. I have studied Webdesign and Marketing, so I do have an understanding of systems and processes, as well as sequences. API's are one of the basic parts of WEB and Email Link Building, and so much more.

And for the first time in a long time, I can see myself using most of my know-how to then build systems that take care of sorting the rest.
What do you dislike about the product?
What is least helpful about n8n?
I don't have much to say that is bad about n8n
Some say it is too techy; to me, it's just about techy enough for me to understand it and to be happy to have this much freedom in execution, laid out the right way.

I would have loved a more structured Video-based or HTML5-based tutorial in the beginning, but that is me complaining on a very high level.

What are the downsides of using n8n?
I don't see any at the moment. It's not like WordPress that kills the vibe sometimes haha
It just takes a moment to understand and think around some parts. But once figured out, you are golden.
It's like walking. Sure, it was fun to crawl at some point, then you worked hard on walking. Sure, it felt like you were flying when jumping around as a child on a trampoline and then you saw the video and realised that it looks cute.

It is worth learning, and it needs a structured university to learn it. So join a community and learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Buildign out my manual Ai frameworks and systems.
Generate more business and save time through automation and targeted notification.
So no more what do I have to do, and more this, this, this, and that is already done, all I need to do is one or two things.

Helps me be productive and live life to the fullest.

n8n does what Make.com or Zapier can't do, since their canvas is less customizable by design.

  • July 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Open source is easy to setup. Very customizable workflows. Customer oriented
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to use specific "enterprise" features by simply buying them individually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
n8n allows us to connect different platforms in our business cheaply since the entire cost is a cheap server for $8 a month.

Great tool for automating so many different possibilities

  • July 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use with creating flows through the editor. I use it daily now for vital but repetitive tasks. It has been quite straight forward to implement, steep learning curve. Lots of free to use templates available to download
What do you dislike about the product?
Some aspects can be hard to work out, for example pinning data to start with, however this is such a key feature
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Freeing up so much time for other tasks, that would normally have to be carried out by a human

What do you like best about the product?
n8n is a great product that connects all your services and gives you the power to automate data. Easy to use and very powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing structure is a bit weird (with the limits on pro).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many process where we have data coming in to one place, and need it to end up somewhere else. n8n allows you to connect and process that data very quickly and easily.

An absolutely incredible tool.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's self hosted, which is amazing as it keeps it super cost-efficient. And incredibly powerful - I've actually come to prefer its interface to that of Zapier and Make.com too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes doesn't let you continue to edit when workflow has errors/can't code in expressions unless you run a lode of nodes. It was also hard to deploy for me as a non technie, but did work it out eventually. Otherwise literally nothing!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everything. It's letting me save a lot of time through automation.

AI automation for the lazy project manager

  • July 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Unbelievably easy to use for a non-developer project manager.

n8n has allowed me to quickly (I mean one evening) build a couple of AI powered workflows to capture and process audio transcripts from the day, produce meeting notes, identify risks, produce status reports.

Bloody amazing.

OK I started with n8n cloud and Claude, but with a bit of Claude help I'm now running on my little MacMini with Ollama and MongoDB.

AI automation for us mere mortals.

But yesterday I was on a call with Deloitte and they were recommending n8n for AI based web scraping.
What do you dislike about the product?
All good really, no downsides I've found so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating routine project management admin and day to day tasks?

Saves Me a Significant Amount of Time

  • July 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's production ready and works reliably. Also it integrates well with a great number of other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much in the software to assist with what amounts to a moderate learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
n8n acts as platform for Q&A regarding topics in my industry, in real time, which assists me in quickly addressing issues and generating ideas. It also helps me process documents into vector databases reliably. My prior platform was error prone. Business document review also happens more seamlessly due to its ability to use AI models to perform this task and report via a separate front end interface. All in all, it saves me significant amounts of time.

Powerful open source workflow automation with developer-friendly flexibility

  • July 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using n8n for workflow automation across multiple projects. It stands out as a comprehensive solution that balances no-code simplicity with full developer control. The platform works as a node-based workflow builder, where each automation step is a distinct node that connects to form complex automation sequences.

n8n delivers a visual workflow editor that works consistently across different complexity levels. The node-based architecture handles data transformation efficiently, allowing workflows to branch, merge, and process information through multiple pathways simultaneously. The platform supports JavaScript and Python code execution directly within workflows, which functions seamlessly when custom logic becomes necessary.

The self-hosting capability operates reliably, giving complete control over data processing and infrastructure management. This works particularly well for organizations with specific security requirements or those wanting to avoid vendor lock-in.

AI integration capabilities work effectively, supporting connections to OpenAI, Anthropic, and other AI services. The platform handles API authentication smoothly and manages environment variables securely across different deployment scenarios.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve becomes steep when building complex workflows with multiple branches and conditions. While the visual interface helps initially, workflows with numerous nodes can become overwhelming and difficult to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
n8n eliminated the need for custom API integration scripts across our development stack. We replaced dozens of one-off Python scripts and webhook handlers with standardized workflows that execute JavaScript and Python code directly within the automation platform. This consolidated approach reduced our integration codebase by approximately 60% while maintaining full programmatic control.
