Effortless Self-Hosting and User-Friendly Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, self-hosting facility and queue mode
What do you dislike about the product?
Non-availability of Customer Support for Selfhosted users. When we develop an App for a customer, we are basically inspiring them to use n8n.io cloud. So as a Partner, n8n team should consider providing Customer Support to everyone rather than leaving it completely to Community
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am mostly using it to get automated AI response from LLM and document processing
Automation Made Effortless with n8n
What do you like best about the product?
I use n8n for automating day-to-day manual and repetitive tasks, which saves me a lot of time and helps me schedule tasks with fixed timelines. It has a vast majority of integrations, and almost everything is possible to automate. The Agentic AI feature, webhooks, and data manipulation tools are especially valuable to me. I enjoy using a variety of AI agents and customizing the system prompts to provide exact and expected results. The setup was challenging, but it was fun and a learning experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've only faced this challenge with handling errors. The errors could be described more clearly. Also, there's no AI feature for the self-hosted n8n version. It would be great if we had a BYOK AI agent feature for self-hosted n8n.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use n8n to automate repetitive tasks, which saves me a lot of time and ensures I meet deadlines. It helps eliminate human error and handles manual processes efficiently.

Efficient Automation Tool with Seamless Workflow Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I use n8n to build many automation systems within the organization, and by creating automations, we have reduced the staff's workload and enabled them to work more efficiently. I love n8n's flexible structure and its ability to run many workflows simultaneously without issues. It integrates with numerous applications, making it possible to create incredible solutions. Its user-friendly interface and drag-and-drop workflow creation make it truly easy to use. We deployed it using Docker, and the installation process was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
While n8n is very flexible and powerful, one downside is that it can have a steeper learning curve compared to more polished no-code tools. Building complex workflows often requires a good understanding of logic, data structures, and sometimes JavaScript, which may be challenging for non-technical users. Additionally, managing and debugging large workflows can become difficult as they grow, especially without advanced visualization or built-in version control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use n8n to automate systems, reducing staff workload and enhancing efficiency. Its flexible design and numerous integrations enable me to create efficient solutions effortlessly.
Exceptionally Flexible and Easy to Use—A Daily Essential
What do you like best about the product?
Its a true utility in the sense that you can do almost anything, if you can't find it within the core, go to the community. You can use the SaaS, host it locally, or host it on a service. Very flexible. I use it every day and the more I use it, the more I love it. Very easy to implement. Seems lke it integrates with everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times the documentation could use a little love. There could be more details.

Rock-Solid Automation Platform with Seamless Upgrades and Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
n8n stands out as one of the most dependable automation platforms I have worked with. Building workflows is simple, thanks to its intuitive user interface, and the self-hosting experience is robust. I operate it on Docker Swarm with several replicas and rolling updates, and upgrades have consistently gone smoothly with almost no downtime—even as AI agents and workflows continued to run. It offers an excellent combination of flexibility, with features like code nodes and integrations, and the stability needed for production environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
When dealing with complex workflows, debugging remains a time-consuming process. Tracing data as it moves through numerous nodes or runs is not always straightforward, and the error messages provided are often too generic to be truly helpful. Additionally, managing large workflows—such as handling versioning, reusing subflows, and maintaining readability—could use further refinement. Some of the newer AI-related features and nodes also seem less mature, often requiring additional tuning and the implementation of extra guardrails before they are ready for production use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
n8n has been instrumental in automating my end-to-end operational workflows, which were previously manual and prone to errors. I rely on it to manage AI agents with long-term memory using Postgres or Supabase, allowing me to classify intents, maintain conversation context, retrieve customer information, and trigger appropriate actions such as updates, follow-ups, and notifications.
What stands out most is the reliability and speed it brings: I now have consistent routing and responses, centralized data management, fewer errors, and a transparent execution history that makes debugging and auditing much easier. Since n8n is self-hosted and scalable—I'm running it on Docker Swarm with replicas—I can confidently deploy these automations in production, ensuring high availability while retaining complete control over my data and infrastructure.
Frees Me from Repetitive Tasks—Automation Done Right
What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to pull away from repetitive tasks and focus on more pressing issues. Thats exactly how intelligence and automation should help us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been trying to pay or subscribe to n8n and it has been disallowed for some reason and I am forced to use trial versions over and over and I loose bunch of stuff due to this restriction. I used a Standard Chartered Bank debit card. I've used it for other overseas payments easily but with n8n, something is off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to pull away from repetitive tasks , i hate doing that. and it integrates well with a number of platforms.
Automation has boosted team productivity and now removes repetitive support and Slack tasks
What is our primary use case?
We have been using n8n for the past couple of months. We are using n8n for various use cases such as automating tedious tasks or automating tasks which require repetitive human action. One of the use cases with n8n was building an automation for a customer support team to find a specific answer which I cannot tell you. I don't have anything else to add about my main use case or how my team interacts with n8n.
What is most valuable?
n8n offers so many integrations available. The Slack integration, all the AI models like Gemini, ChatGPT, and other various third-party tool integrations make integrating with our current ecosystem or tools which we are using at our company give us an advantage and things get fast enough.
The Slack integration is the one we are using the most; we are generating various types of alerts in our Slack channels, and the other one is also an AI integration with different AI models.
n8n has impacted our organization in various ways. Things are now fast enough, and people's productivity is generally improved because tedious and repetitive tasks are automated, allowing us to spend our energy and time on productive tasks.
Regarding customer support tickets, there are generally on a daily basis a few tickets that are related to one specific requirement from the technical team which we automated using n8n. Now the technical team is not spending time there, and the n8n workflow itself is giving answers to the customer support team, increasing the productivity of the technical team as well.
What needs improvement?
n8n is a great tool and an open-source tool, so it's easy to host on our machine, but I think it is a bit heavier and CPU-intensive, so n8n can improve a little in this area.
n8n's UI is great and the documentation is also pretty good; there are various YouTube resources available for that. For improvements, I'm not sure anything else is coming to mind.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working in my current field for 3.5 years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We haven't faced so many issues, but n8n is generally a CPU-heavy tool; sometimes, if I run so many automations on a smaller CPU, then it was going down.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
n8n's scalability is good, and it maintains a version history of each and every edit and each and every workflow it ran.
How are customer service and support?
If we face any problems with n8n, we generally search for solutions online or ask AI tools or LLM tools to resolve our issues. We are getting all the solutions as we face them. I can rate the customer support a nine.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
There was not a complete alternative to n8n, but there was one tool called Zapier, which does not have customization like n8n, so that's why we chose n8n.
How was the initial setup?
We deployed n8n in AWS, basically Amazon Web Services.
What about the implementation team?
We basically self-hosted n8n on an AWS EC2 instance instead of purchasing it through the AWS Marketplace.
What was our ROI?
The return on investment is pretty good. If I talk about any metrics, those can be the productivity of all the people in the organization, which is improved, along with time and energy being saved.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing was good; the setup was a bit time-taking, but other than that, the experience was positive.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
n8n is a pretty much trending tool nowadays; we got a couple of compliments also from other organizations that this is the best tool you can use for automation.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend that others read the setup instructions, the official documentation, and the official YouTube channel resources so they can utilize n8n in an optimized and also in the best way possible. I would rate this product a 10.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
