Effortless Self-Hosting and User-Friendly Experience

  • December 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, self-hosting facility and queue mode
What do you dislike about the product?
Non-availability of Customer Support for Selfhosted users. When we develop an App for a customer, we are basically inspiring them to use n8n.io cloud. So as a Partner, n8n team should consider providing Customer Support to everyone rather than leaving it completely to Community
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am mostly using it to get automated AI response from LLM and document processing

Automation Made Effortless with n8n

  • December 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use n8n for automating day-to-day manual and repetitive tasks, which saves me a lot of time and helps me schedule tasks with fixed timelines. It has a vast majority of integrations, and almost everything is possible to automate. The Agentic AI feature, webhooks, and data manipulation tools are especially valuable to me. I enjoy using a variety of AI agents and customizing the system prompts to provide exact and expected results. The setup was challenging, but it was fun and a learning experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've only faced this challenge with handling errors. The errors could be described more clearly. Also, there's no AI feature for the self-hosted n8n version. It would be great if we had a BYOK AI agent feature for self-hosted n8n.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use n8n to automate repetitive tasks, which saves me a lot of time and ensures I meet deadlines. It helps eliminate human error and handles manual processes efficiently.

Workflow automation has boosted agentic chatbots and HR knowledge search for our teams

  • December 23, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I am using n8n for generating agentic AI agents. I will explain this via one example. We have a requirement to create a chatbot for a university website. For that purpose, we have used n8n. Students will directly come to our chatbot and ask about courses, departments, and fees. Our agentic agent will respond to their inquiries.

We are also using n8n for HR purposes. We have stored all documents in GitHub and converted all documents into vectors, storing that information in Pinecone. We have used n8n to retrieve the information based on the user's query.

What is most valuable?

n8n supports connectivity to any application. We can easily connect any application with n8n, which is a feature I really appreciate.

In the previous examples with Pinecone and the chatbot application, we have utilized Gemini and OpenAI as an LLM. With the help of n8n, we have easily connected them. We have also connected Google Spreadsheet to get data from Google Sheets and save the data back to Google Sheets. We have done this very easily without coding.

n8n has helped us build agents very quickly. Without coding, we can accomplish this. Our business is growing faster because we have created workflows that help us improve our business.

We have improved time, cost, and productivity. All three have been improved.

What needs improvement?

n8n could benefit from a better UI. Currently, n8n provides workflows and we can easily create workflows and connect most applications. However, if n8n provided AI integration where we could just type via text and it would generate a workflow, that would be very useful.

Currently, when I configure n8n or create a workflow, I have to do everything manually. We do not have any AI with an LLM where I can just provide information in human language and it will convert or create the workflows. That is why I have deducted two points.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using n8n for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have set up n8n on our local server, which is on a Contabo-based server, and sometimes it was losing connection. I have to restart it again and again. That type of issue I was experiencing.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We can scale up as per our need. I do not face any issues with scaling up.

How are customer service and support?

I am not aware of customer support because nowadays many AI things are available in the market. I do not have to reach out to n8n customer support. I just ask a question to ChatGPT or Gemini, and it will answer my questions. I have not contacted them.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have not used another solution. Currently, n8n was good. That is why we have started reviewing it.

What was our ROI?

If we use n8n, we will save time and money with fewer employees.

What other advice do I have?

n8n is a very good product. It will save time and add more productivity. It will also reduce the work of humans if you utilize it in a better way. If anybody wants to use it, that is a very good product.

I am a customer as well as a developer. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

Efficient Automation Tool with Seamless Workflow Integration

  • December 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use n8n to build many automation systems within the organization, and by creating automations, we have reduced the staff's workload and enabled them to work more efficiently. I love n8n's flexible structure and its ability to run many workflows simultaneously without issues. It integrates with numerous applications, making it possible to create incredible solutions. Its user-friendly interface and drag-and-drop workflow creation make it truly easy to use. We deployed it using Docker, and the installation process was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
While n8n is very flexible and powerful, one downside is that it can have a steeper learning curve compared to more polished no-code tools. Building complex workflows often requires a good understanding of logic, data structures, and sometimes JavaScript, which may be challenging for non-technical users. Additionally, managing and debugging large workflows can become difficult as they grow, especially without advanced visualization or built-in version control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use n8n to automate systems, reducing staff workload and enhancing efficiency. Its flexible design and numerous integrations enable me to create efficient solutions effortlessly.

Excellent for Complex Automation and Coding Projects

  • December 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This tool is excellent for handling automation tasks that require extensive coding. I find it particularly useful when working on projects that involve complex programming.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upgrading this system for self-hosting is quite complicated, and the installation process itself is not straightforward. It also does not support being set up in a subfolder within Plesk, mainly due to the inflexible nginx configuration, which is a significant drawback of Plesk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves all my needs for posting news on social media.

User-Friendly Automation with Powerful Capabilities

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like n8n's super user-friendly interface and how easy it makes it to create a workflow that multiplies my productivity and simplifies complex and time-taking tasks. I also found the initial setup pretty easy, even though I expected it to be more complicated given its power. Watching some YouTube tutorials made it even easier for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that finding different apps APIs, hunting down API documentation, endpoints, and auth tokens for different services and apps can be improved. I wish there could be a more centralized way to find these APIs without leaving the app so much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use n8n to automate workflows, generating LinkedIn posts easily and boosting personal productivity. It simplifies complex tasks with a user-friendly interface.

Automated sign-ups and workflows have saved hours weekly and now streamline daily operations

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

A main use case for n8n is connecting different platforms and using workflows to optimize day-to-day operations. One of the main examples is our sign-up flow. Whenever someone signs up, we create a record in our CRM, send them an email welcoming them, and send a notification into our internal communication channel announcing the new sign-up. All of these actions are done via n8n. We receive a webhook whenever someone signs up, and all of these nodes are connected, so the automation is built that way.

n8n is used extensively for many things. We use it to feed documents to our agents. We use it to go through our database records and filter out chats with issues. We use n8n in our reporting for the part where we send actual emails to clients. With n8n, the limit is just the sky.

How has it helped my organization?

n8n has impacted our organization positively. Whenever a new account is created, the CRM account is created and the notification is passed into our internal communication channels. Earlier, people would get notified of new clients joining only when they checked the CRM. Currently, even if they join in the middle of the night, we get a notification through n8n. Those kinds of things overall have saved a lot of time in our organization.

n8n is saving somewhere around two to four hours every week. I would estimate it to be around four to six hours per week, though I am an automation engineer doing automations and saving time for other people, so I am not the one to give the exact figure.

What is most valuable?

The best features n8n offers are the developer-friendliness, which makes n8n exceptional. You can use expressions anywhere. Expressions are basic JavaScript functions or JavaScript code that you can put in any node to pass data dynamically. I have not seen that kind of flexibility in make.com, Zapier, or any other platforms in the same domain. The flexibility for development and developer options are the best aspects of n8n.

Regarding the features, all of those are really good. Recently there is a great rise of people using n8n. People are posting about it every day with mind-blowing automations, including fully automated content pipelines and fully automated email reply agents. n8n is simply the best platform for these automation scenarios. The UI is also good. I would not say it is the sleekest, but I might prefer Zapier's UI a little more, but n8n gets the job done and gets the job done the best.

What needs improvement?

n8n can be improved in the way that the UI could be better. There is a version two of n8n that I saw demonstrations of. It is a little better, but I think the UI could use a more futuristic approach. I am biased because I am also a designer. When connecting nodes and referring to earlier nodes, the structure that has to be followed is sometimes confusing. To write an expression to refer to data from an earlier node, sometimes you have to use item.json, and sometimes you have to use json.first. Those kinds of things are sometimes confusing, but when you get into it, you will figure it out.

I do not think there are any other things to be added for improvements. The performance is good. Documentation is really good. I do not think there is anything else to add.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using n8n for more than a year. I started using it for personal projects when I was working in a different company. When I joined this company, my skills in n8n were what got me selected. I have been using it from the day I started at this company. It has been almost one year.

What other advice do I have?

One of the main pieces of advice I would give to others looking into using n8n is regarding the self-hosted version. You will have to update it regularly. Otherwise, you will miss out on a lot of new features and security patches. It does not get updated automatically. You have to go and update yourself manually. I know that is a hassle, but it is really worth the time. Another thing is to always keep an eye on the newly added nodes. People are creating new nodes and uploading them to the community all the time, and people are creating new workflows as well. There are really creative workflows out there. If you keep an eye on the community, you will find a lot of hidden gems. My overall rating for n8n is a 9 out of 10.
