A great solution if you don't currently have an AD infrastructure or need to manage Macs
What do you like best about the product?
Central policies to manage all devices in single pane of glass. Central auth to allow users to sign in to multiple devices throughout or
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a huge fan of the way MFA work. I would prefer it only require MFA on portal side and not local side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are now able to centrally manage Mac policies as we would with a solution like Jamf. We get the added benefit of being able to enforce central auth for those Mac users.

What do you like best about the product?
I would like to be honest, I have been using it for a while. It is a really great platform that can afford/merge your IT solutions under one roof. You can unify, manage, and secure your needs and consider it done! At least you should give it a try. "Software management" will like it!
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, there are none of the things that I don't like, as I said, still discovering.

Really easy to use it
So much better than Windows Active Directory
What do you like best about the product?
I don't need to stand up a server per authentication type just to reach my IDaaS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some LDAP features could be added, but they have been requested via feature additions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Authentication for all heterogeneous OSs in our infrastructure is only possible with a single solution: JumpCloud
Easy and intuitive

The UI is logical and easy to navigate. Terminology used is pretty standard, and setting up SAML for use in my application was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Understandable, but the strong marketing / sales approach after signup even as a development user.

Helping JumpCloud users integrate and connected with SAML to our environment.
Intersting buissnes tool

Having a wonderful support team and having full access to all our machines from a centralised location as long as they are connected to a Internet source.

Having a long setup phase to have a great time with this tool. Also missing some custom fields when creating users so when they are imported not all fields we use were propagated

Having easy access to all our machines to help our colleagues
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Know what you need jumpcloud for and don't think it is a catch all and as it is a great tool but most handymen need several different tools for them to work great

Great service and Product
What do you like best about the product?
I use this mostly for Mac OS devices. It has been a very stable product and easy to manage users and monitor devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a while for the client to show up in the list of managed machines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplification of user accounts and machines monitoring on Mac OS.
Easy setup and onboarding of the organization
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the fact that users can onboard themselves and the process is quite easy. Applying rules and policies is also quite easy, just make sure you test before you deploy to the production environment. Some policies tend to mess up, but that could happen with a normal AD as well, so no issues for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The provided guides regarding SSO are sometimes a bit misleading, or outdated. I often need to contact the customer success team or the support team in order to get some SSOs up and running. I understand that it is hard to keep up with all applications and changes, but once an application is supported by JumpCloud natively, I expect the setup to take 10 minutes not an hour. The help I usually get is good, but taht takes additional time as JumpCloud is in a very different time zone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security problems regarding passwords and password policy. Also, JumpCloud basically solves all the problems with deploying and enforcing policies within an organization (at least in our case). JumpCloud helps you to enforce policies on devices and on platforms as well. I also like the fact that you can control what privileges do users have on their devices on the go.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you ask all the questions you have beforehand, and that JumpCloud fits your use case. There are still a couple of features missing from JumpCloud that would make it an all-in-one solution, but overall it is a good platform to manage your infrastructure.
Exceptional mix of services at a fair price
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud brings control over authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) back into the hands of your organization, even though you no longer have on-premises infrastructure providing such services. No longer are you limited to "doing things your cloud provider's way", potentially limiting which actual cloud-hosted applications - particularly SaaS - you choose in support of your user base. JumpCloud is open, extensible, multi-platform, highly available, and doesn't artificially steer one towards using "just one" provider simply to avoid duplication of AAA sustainment effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve can be a little high for small organizations that do not have system administrators with many years' previous experience; however, this quickly pays off with the more enterprise-grade user experience received immediately afterward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My own organization - and many similar ones for which I provide IT consulting services - needs higher availability levels for AAA services of the type JumpCloud provides, but can no longer easily justify the cost of maintaining such services privately. Hosting Windows domain controllers, OpenLDAP servers, authentication portals, etc. in a commercial cloud might be an option, but for a small organization (<50 people), JumpCloud provides an in-depth, comprehensive set of AAA services at a much more sustainable price. One system administrator can handle ALL of the necessary tasks because they spend their time focused on AAA itself, not the underlying infrastructure - physical or virtual - that hosts it. This has led to more holistic consumption of AAA services and a more cohesive experience for my users: Whether using resources still hosted in on-premises servers/clouds, IaaS-hosted applications in other clouds, or commercial SaaS, their AAA experience is seamless and consistent.
