Wonderful tool
What do you like best about the product?
Automatically centralizes password management
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly my only dislike is that I didn't find this tool sooner!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New federal mandates require strong password selection, enforcement, and management. JumpClopud allows me to do all of these things with a single tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool is well worth the small time it takes to learn it
Device management works well
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that the client doesn't impact the user much at all. I was nervous about this as I'm a developer and get territorial abound my machine. But it worked well and didn't impact me much after installation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think this has something to do with is Mac OD, but the config process is a tiny be esoteric. Still I was able to get it working pretty easily and also was able to roll out to others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are primarily solving for device management with a eye towards soc2 compliance. JumpCloud provides excellent capabilities in this area and isn't as complicated to experiment with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I like it. I feel like it's the best product in the field.
Love it - LDAP Interface
What do you like best about the product?
LDAP Capability, so easy to use I was able to ditch on-prem approach to LDAP server and just use the LDAP as a Service in JumpCloud... the UI is super easy to work with!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's cloud-based so I do have to rely on the web to manage my directory, and there is cost associated with that, but at the end of the day that's just nitpicking
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving easy LDAP configuration with OpenLDAP (LDAP flavor of choice). Integration with IdP (Okta) specifically, which is great because it was so easy with the documentation provided.
Good Product for Remote Support for IT and services provider
What do you like best about the product?
easy functionality and a lot of tools to gett he users what they need
What do you dislike about the product?
there is not too much documentation to troubleshoot
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do not need to have a server at the location and can do the same if they were.
Amazing UI. Makes Identity management easy. I don't miss Active Directory at all.
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of JumpCloud. I can manage my users with ease. This allows me to focus on more thought-intensive engineering tasks. Better than Active Directory and way cheaper than Okta. Love it!
What do you dislike about the product?
2021 was a tough year for outages. I understand because your product is so great that your customer base expanded like crazy. There were definitely some growing pains, but, 2022 has been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Authentication! JumpClouds built-in SSO apps is a huge time saver. It helps me sleep at night from a security perspective that my applications are behind SSO.I also get to sleep because they're so easy to set-up - I don't have to work late in the day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A cheaper, easier version of Okta. Everything is amazing as advertised. Except for SCIM provisioning, a bit bare bones there.
Easy to use and love the idea of being able to connect it to AD
What do you like best about the product?
The Amount im able to change and the number of features that are available to manage computers within it. Id be using active directory. compared to other companies this simplifies managing the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing is currently missing if anything id only change the way to manage logging into multiple computers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
broken domain controller, now able to have all computers apart of one network
JumpCloud makes user management easy
What do you like best about the product?
User management and system access are centralized and easily accessible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to put your finger on it, but the UI is not always super intuitive, everything works as expected and there are not major functional gaps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User and system management across multiple platforms. JumpCloud makes it easy to manage all this.
Cloud Directory done right!
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud interface and automation. Great tool to support both Windows and MacOS. Local user account mangement on computers is one of the best features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of reporting. No FileVault key rotation and needs improvment on software deployment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To manage password policy on a dual environment of Windows and Mac. Also, providing cloud solution to handle remote workforce.
Pretty fantastic to work with
What do you like best about the product?
How easy is it is to apply mobile device policies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting could be a little more robust and SSO configurations can act a little wonky with some applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's made a portion of our SOC 2 attestation a breeze. Thing like enforced disk encryption and enforced password complexity checks a few SOC 2 boxes.
Works 99% of the time if you know what you're doing
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Install/Config or devices and users. Running commands/software management to/for Mac devices also bridges a gap we previously had. SSO and directory syncs helps mitigate the amount of portals I have to go into for deactivation of users.
What do you dislike about the product?
When installing on Windows machines, it doesn't always take over the local account (even when you specify to do so), and we end up having to do profile migraitons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MDM for Macs has been huge for us. Onboarding of Mac devices through "Commands" has increased our production and efficiency when onboarding new clients. Wiping of devices for stolen/compromised devices has helped put us and the customer more at ease with the mobile workforce.
