The Simplicity
What do you like best about the product?
What's most helpful about JumpCloud is that they have the JumpCloud University and hundreds of training videos and modules to help the administrators to perform tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. There is nothing to dislike about JumpCloud!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making the process of setting up our Mac machines by being synched with our Apple Business Manager account less time-consuming in order to get them deployed to the user.
Jumpcloud - Easy and plenty of features for most
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity of setting up the customer/client.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish it had more mac management features, better integrated with windows counterparts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing wfh computers, not all of which were company owned. and keeping them secure in order to stay productive during shelter-in-place orders.
Sensational
What do you like best about the product?
The solution is being innovative in the market, bringing great versatility in the management of equipment and environments as a whole,
What do you dislike about the product?
even though I am not in favor of different types of subscriptions, I think it has to be a single package, where there is no need for support or need for new ideas from other customers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What would be interesting is for the platform to have a more elaborate Assets Manager session, with status monitoring according to the itil standard
Support Was Incredibly Prompt and Helpful In Resolving Issues
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has excellent support. I was using JumpCloud's LDAP as a service and encountered an issue early on where I suddenly could not view my tenants. Normally, this would be a negative thing, but Support quickly diagnosed the issue as being on their end, and escalated my ticket, at 2 AM Eastern. Knowing it was out of my control and assuming that our services would just start working again when it was resolved, I went to bed and woke up to an email from my support tech. The email had been sent one hour later and informed me the issue should be resolved and to please try again. It worked flawlessly from then on, and I only stopped using it because the business I was integrating it into announced it was closing. Will definitely use JumpCloud again next time I need SSO.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the JumpCloud interface confusing at times. Accessing a Tennant locked me into viewing only that tenant's data and enabled services, which became an issue as I was trying to activate certain services on that tenant and could find no way to do that from the Master Administrator interface. I would love to see more in-depth instructional videos on their YouTube, as these seem like common things to need to do. Still, considering the responsiveness of support, if the project had not shut down I'm sure I would have been able to learn the interface fairly quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using JumpCloud LDAP for a Company's many IT devices and providing staff permissions and access to several intranet websites via single-sign-on. I very much appreciated the 10 free users, as this made it possible to configure the environment fully at a micro-scale for no cost, before onboarding our entire team. While I could have provided LDAP and SSO from on-premise infrastructure, JumpCloud provided an entry point into this ecosystem that was relatively new to me and also the security and stability of knowing that our business-necessary services would remain accessible in case of an on-premise server error.
Easy to use MDM but not as advanced as other solutions
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is definitely much easier to use than other MDMs I've used in the past and that is a huge upside. Most IT admins can feel comfortable using Jumpcloud within the first week of use. There are adequate pre-built policies to easily harden your device security. Adding new devices to JumpCloud is easy with the "bind existing user" into Jumpcloud as long as you follow their directions!
What do you dislike about the product?
Automation is lacking at least in the Mac administration. I understand this is due to Apple security updates but this needs to be addressed by JumpCloud soon. Almost everything that used to be automated on Macs now requires user intervention making it very difficult to enforce security standards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud allows us to harden our device inventory with ease and match up with our security policies. It can sync with GRC platforms to bring in evidence for our Audits automatically which is a big time saver.
Help with seamless login to many applications
What do you like best about the product?
It is a toss-up between the multiple integrations they have into products we use and the seamless functionality to auto-provision users to these integrated apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have one application where the auto-provisioning has not worked successfully. Through many attempts with support at both ends, we still have not been able to get it resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seamless login to integrated applications and user management/provisioning.
Great automatization and management
What do you like best about the product?
We use JumpCloud provisioning from Okta directory and works perfectly and automatic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you get errors applying changes and the change works anyway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management and control of the enterprise's hardware.
Extremely user friendly and intuitive layout.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of setting it up as well as how easy it was to get it up and working. We were able to put policies into effect immediately. Also the face that they give you up to 10 devices free is awesome, it truly lets you try it before you invest.
What do you dislike about the product?
No remote tool is included in it as of now. It would be really helpful to try to have most tools integrated into a platform as possible. Also, the price was a little more, than other similar tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need for an active directory server is the main problem it is solving. This allows us to push policies down to machines out there in the wild that otherwise, we have to try to remote to without any way to push policies down globally.
The best way to manage your entire AD requirements
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I love about jump cloud its ease of use from both the administrator's and end users' points of view. My corporate senior staff is pleased with its ability to provide full AD functionality without the burden of housing a data center and additional staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't determined any downsides as far as my implementation of Jumpcloud has been going so far. I've been using it for 2 or 3 years and it has been a great tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud solves several problems. Due to COVID its ability to provide the AD service without the onsite personnel needed for hardware has been a blessing. The reduction in staff, the removal of high-end data server equipment along with its tedious and expensive maintenance costs has been a huge benefit for us. We're a non-profit organization and the more money we can redirect to actually helping our clients the more effective we can be in accomplishing our mission.
Easy to get started!
What do you like best about the product?
Everything is under one roof, there is no going between systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
It just takes a little getting used to coming from Rippling.
