  • March 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty easy to set it up and get going; I loved how it integrates easily. We primarily use it as an SSO tool to authenticate our apps, and it works like a charm with little to no effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far we haven’t found anything that can be disliked in JumpCloud we have been using > 8-9 months and it works like a charm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for SSO and active directory to help us ease the integration with the services without any hassle.

What do you like best about the product?
Service that comes with the platform. When I had a question, I asked out rep, which was answered quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is still plenty of items I wish I could do as a management of equipment that is still not available, but I am sure it will come soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One place for Dell and Apple for us is a huge plus. Being able to provide user identity for our two different OS is terrific.

Fantastic

What do you like best about the product?
I use Jumpcloud's free tier to help manage user accounts within my homelab. It hasn't failed me yet and their easy to install agents help keep everything in sync. They even help me take care of menial tasks like applying OS updates across all of my VMs. Thanks!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything yet not to absolutely love.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SSO, LDAP, RADIUS, and mass system administration. These are all the sorts of things you would need a full IT staff for. I am but a simple home-labber, but I still get those same benefits with JumpCloud.

Easy to setup and maintain the client

  • March 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The JumpCloud is straightforward to set up. Most likely, the user interface is clean and needed. The control center is accessible, and lots of prebuilt libraries to control the client.
What do you dislike about the product?
Password management on macOS is terrible. It will sync to your user account but rarely sync that same password to your FileVault (encryption) login. This causes users to have passwords from three changes ago as FileVault and their current for their user account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solved the problem that I can centrally control the devices with the policy applied, such as Cortana Disable, etc. There is a minimum time required to learn JumpCloud as Administrator since the program design is easier to understand.

Highly effective and very user friendly

What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion, the most impressive aspects of JumpCloud is its security features. It uses strong encryption to protect user data and employs multi-factor authentication to ensure that only authorized users can access sensitive resources. It also provides granular access controls, allowing IT teams to grant specific privileges to individual users or groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Concern about getting into a vendor lock-in situation .Cost is also an issue especially for larger companies. Setup is not intuitive as some of the other competitor products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud provides a single source of truth for user identities and access privileges, regardless of the platform or vendor. JumpCloud offers strong encryption, multi-factor authentication, and granular access controls to help mitigate our risks.Mainly it helped us streamline their IAM processes, reduce security risks, and improve overall IT efficiency

What do you dislike about the product?
Still too new and developing, and implemented a kill switch which erased the entire data in my laptop
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast and easy setup for RADIUS service

It just makes sense

What do you like best about the product?
I like the efficiency jumpcloud provides to onboarding and off boarding users, devices, and resources. Jumpcloud makes it easy to control access to different services and tools. It's a software that maximizes efficiency and it truly just makes sense.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had issues with jumpcloud support or documentation not being knowable or accurate enough which was a real bummer. I think they should invest in this area to improve the overall satisfaction among enterprise users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's providing a source of truth and most importantly redundancy. Jumpcloud solves the LDAP as a service problem in a genius way which makes it easy to interstate with other like tools. It allows for a custom set up for any need.

JumpCloud - Or How I Learned to Love Someone Else's Forrest

  • March 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Everything, what's not to like? JumpCloud has enabled me to manage my home computers and personal business acounts, as well as scale two separate companies with ease!

The User Group associations to all platforms make it simple and straightforward to provide access as needed. Having RADIUS, LDAP(S), MFA with Push & TOTP, and so many other features has been incredibly powerful and affordable for SMB.
What do you dislike about the product?
The idea of more a-la-carte features both excites and frustrates me. As long as key features are not gated or impaired by having one or more "add-ons" purchased, I have no issue continue to use and implement them - as add-ons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a centralized dashboard for user associations to groups, devices, applications, and other has been incredibly helpful. Since starting to use the product in 2019, the dashboard has evolved immensely and only in ways that improve it's functionality.

A perfect platform for user and software management

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have a small IT company and use the Jumpcloud service mainly for user administration and cloud management of my IT infrastructure. Thanks to the effortless software distribution and the automated update service, I can use my human resources more effectively. A special highlight for me is the linking of LDAP and Cloudflare. This allows me to manage all access rights to my services via one system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumpcloud offers an infinite number of interfaces to cloud services. Everything is very well documented with examples. What I miss is the management of Android devices. It has been announced for a long time, maybe it will still be implemented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With one platform I can easily and securely manage all the services I use.
